    The recurves are just as deadly as the compounds. You just have to pratice a little more and know you limitations. There is no i think i can make this shot. You have to know and be confident with every shot.

    I wrote DEC a letter asking about the credit card thing for the lifetime licenses ane they said they are reissuing the credit cards for all lifetime holders and they should be out in the next 6 months. Take that for what it is worth but i hope i get one soon.

    I think there is another app out there like this for your phones. I vaguly remember someone posting it last year it could have been an internet thing too.

    I do not have any experience with the elimtick clothing but I have bought bugzskins from cebelas and they work great. you can buy a whole outfit from head to toe. I have the tops and bottoms and went from 1-5 tick bited every day to maybe one tick on me every 2-3 days. They are light weight and work just anothe routlet for you.

    Hey I was reading the specs this is the aluminum stan right. I am looking for something like this stand i can't have a huge stand because i shoot a 54" recurve hybrid. If you could post pics that would be great. I am in albany so we would have to figure out how to get the treestand delivered.

    Interesting app. I am suprised anybody ever shot a deer back when we had to sit and watch squirrels for intertainment and couldn't play with our phones on stand. I am not one to talk i use mine to keep me occupied also. Just think it is funny.

    I would love to see dove hunting happen. walking the fields with a shotgun trying to get a shot after they flush will change you mind about stupid birds they are quick.

    Kind of the same thing with ar's, why should we be having people choosing what we can or can't shoot. But they are and it is getting worse.

    Hey you stand for what you believe in and that is what matters. The only thing I kinda snickered at is the whole I have praticed on does and 3-4 pointers by pulling my bow back and letting them walk. Do you put them in your scope ring on your gun to and then say bang? I was always taught don't point anything at anything you don't want to shoot. I am just saying things go wrong. You can do what you want just something to think about. Safety is no accident.

    How many of you guys have recieved the credit card licence? I saw on another post that some of you guys got them and some didn't. I have had mine for 5-6 years now and never recieved one. Just wondering if i should contact DEC. Thanks

    I don't care if crossbows come in but they shouldn't be in bow season. It goes back to the whole shouldering it and being able to put a scope on them. I agree with the above that we should not be standing with the anti hunters that makes us as a whole look bad. There is a place for crossbows in hunting season. They are a ethical hunting implement they just need a spot in a hunting season.

    I would like to buy a 20 guage. I would prefer a remington but i am open to some options. I would like it for a rabbit gun. If anybody has one floating around and it is in good condition let me know.

    I am in the same boat. I have had my lifetime for 5 years now and i still don't have a card. Maybe a letter to DEC is a good idea.

    There is also a book out there I don't know the exact name but it is something like "hunting high presured whitetails". In general the book is very informative there are a few things that are a little ridiculous but you get that in anything.

    I guess there has been a few sighting of this guy. They say he isn't a threat and hasn't been doing anything wrong YET. Kinda wierd to see one right down by albany. It is only ten minute drive to the capital from niskauna

    I would think it would work great for a learning program. If you could set something up for people taking the bowhunting course, they could shoot at the deer like you can at those screens then see where and what you hit. I think it would be great for people just comming into the sport.

    Some of those lighted pins are through fiber ops right. And the lighted knock isn't killing the deer it is a visual helper i think that is how they get around it. If the knock was doing the killing and was electronic it might be a different story.

    It might work for shot placment after the shot but how many time have you let go of an arrow recovered a deer and said hmmmmm that was farther forward-back than i origanally thought!!
