So I'm hunting near my plots 11-30 and noticed deer tracks, scratching & digging in the WR. Granted there was more activity in the mix plot with some radish & turnip. But it was still nice to see and know they're getting through the snow using the plots.

Got one of those. It's mt favorite. Well, at least in the Spring.

More snow on the equator. I tell ya, things are slipping.

This reminds me of a scenario that happened a few years ago, Fall Turkey hunting. Night before - Chinese food & wings, breakfast of hash browns and lots of hot coffee. About 2/3 the way to my spot nature not only called, she was screaming for a divorce. And there was nooooo stopping it. While I was gearing back up a deer about 100 yards off got a snout full and went ballistic. Few minutes later thought ya get that new man feeling.

My David Brown doesn't have weights up front but the bucket/loader is on. Still this looks like a last resort option. They certainly got it done though.

Four day weekend coming up - hopefully the weather cooperates better then last weekend. We'll see if we can sneak one more with the Bow in the SZ away from the Orange army. If not there's a plan for the SZ opener too.

Bought a bunch of grabber warmers & toe toasters, thought maybe I got last years as they were mild. The hot hands / factory versions were much better.

Update: They were awesome. I did overcook a set on the pit, as with venison once they are done that's it. Timed right they were very flavorful. Looking forward to the next batch after a grind job but first I need to bolt down the press.

Two more days I'll be able to hit before gun season. Passed on a few this year. Some were just out of range, another just behind enough cover for a no shot encounter, letting does on the property slide. Had to pass on another because it wasn't my place and there was a point rule. Crap weather - down time for a few days. Last weekend I pinched-pulled a neck muscle and scrapped a day. So I figgure hit an old favorite spot. I would be nice though, if the weather cooperated a bit. To luck!

Sometimes I think about the conditions people get themselves into, or let happen. For example, things expected, things today's society demands from someone, a heavy mortgage, alimony, job stress, no job stress, people living from month to month, food, utilities, medical expenses, etc. The average person may be able to rationalize these things but take a month or two with things out of order and some people just snap.

Have hot coffee & pizza delivered.

Wondering if you girdled the larger trees? I was thinking of using a chain and the bucket/loader to lift out very small trees. What method did you use to remove stumps?

Surf was up last weekend - the wind can chill your jazz. Sat. late afternoon hunt I'm hunting a friends camp, in a hang on stand med size tree trying to keep my balance. Noticed a doe making noise 50 yards out @ 10 oclock, nice buck behind her with his nose to her. They are quartering to me - she stops in range and he strolls closer. Now he's @ 11 then 12 oclock.25 yards close but behind lots of twigs and the steven king tree. You've all heared it before - but if he took 5 more yards, just 5 yards into the lane I was up. I watched the whole picture come together then she moved off and he turned to follow - the whole picture came apart.

Newegg gets allot of my business. Bought a few ProBooks recently, and components for custom desktops. My personal laptop etc. Have you hugged your Asus today?

Bow season I use some orange, reversible hat when I'm blood trailing.

Wind can make for changes alright - extra hot wings & galic pizza with broccoli the night before - what was I thinkin` Surf's up.
