  1. I ordered 10 'wild apple' trees from north forty, 2 year 24"+ transplants. I was to late for last years stock so I ordered early, sch delivery for early May. Planning for two sort of mini-orchards figure if 4 out of 5 make it into the following year that'll be good.
  2. But I like wings. Place i know has red-hot garlic sauce. Italian parm is another good one. No I didn't hit one but was close enough once or twice. Flat black buggies at night I'm driving over a hill and bam there they are. No reflectors, no lights except for a tiny lamp for the driver I doubt they can barely see the horses @ss with. Doesn't give me the warm fuzzy share the road feeling.
  3. Quite a few years ago I owned a '57 crestliner, I had to carry extra shear pins because the outboard was hard on them. One fine summer day north end of Cayuga lake past the railroad bridge I'm anchored off near the cattails trying to change one, leaning over the motor, had forgot to pin it up. So the motor drops and launches me off the back of the boat. So now I'm standing chest deep soaked hoping nobody saw that move, but I got the pin changed.
  4. Sure, in an evil hot greasy chicken wing kinda way
  5. Clover is a good hold over plot but consider mixing in some chicory for a deeper tap root in case you get some dry spells. I have had good luck with AntlerKing trophy clover mix with or without boosting the chicory mix. My plots are woodland avg ph is 6. I have heard whitetail prefer white ladino but I have pics and video of deer in and out of the clover all summer & early fall. For the most part after bow season they move on to other browse. edited to add; I use one of these cheap ph meters for a general avg. Yes I know it's not perfectly accurate or as good as a complete test. But it's served, the end tips are somewhat fragile, so I use a small shovel and turn over some loose dirt.
  6. Looks like a face mask from one of those predator movies.

    YES or NO?

Negative. This also reminds me of what a pain getting the plug out of the 1300 was. No that I would use this gun for - never mind.
  8. I must be bored out of my mind as I read through this thread.
  9. Got some. They arn't so much a pain once I got used to them, going forward at least
  10. I don't do trees anymore but can dig the msg.
  11. Friend of mine at work with relatives that have some property in the thousand island area shared this photo with me.
  12. Seeing as how the 401k is in transition from AxA to J.P. Morgan it would be nice if this years profit sharing was in the form of a bonus check. But I'll settle for a new radiator for the Jeep. Hannah Davis @ camp would be nice, but a nice tw-3 log splitter would be more useful, and just as sexy
  13. Cool, I bet next year will be quite the anticipation.
  14. Now I know what ate my gloves.

    Sleeping

Try a 4lb. density 3" memory foam mattres top. They arn't cheap but I'll say this since I got mine I've slept better.
  16. This and replacing ratchet straps, and taking any cushion - seat - arm rest padding down.
  17. Used up all the extra pto so one more MZ weekend sounds good.
  18. Caller on the line, they got a new computer, stuck with Window 8.
