  1. I broke down and bought the Nikon inline XR scope, very nice. I take the muzz out a few times during the regular season in addition to the ML season. Optics Planet and Natchez sometimes have smoking deals on factory refurbs...the Nikon I bought for my .223 is a refurb, performs flawlessly and was $90.
  2. Are we required to print and sign a new one every year? I still have the one from last year in my back tag holder.
  3. 386 bow kills? you been shooting 10 a year for the last 39 years?
  4. I think its alot of factors. First of all the number of people who do moderate physical labor these days has dwindled, now so many people have desk and "work station" jobs, that muscles are affected adversley and posture suffers which makes one way more prone to injury. Also today's food is crap, outside of homegrown vegetables and such, processed food IMO is all empty calories, with little to no actual nutrition that helps to keep a body in good physical condition. We are a society of fat, soft people now.
  5. Pretty much same here. My dad does hunt, but I would not call him a super technical hunter. He taught me the ultra basics and the rest has been trial/error, asking other people, tips from hunting shows/magazines, and internet forums....
  6. Morning everyone! My wife’s family was doing some cleaning at her Grandmother house and came across some old ammo and was instructed to “get rid of it”. A few boxes of calibers that I own, I was allowed to keep, there are however maybe a dozen rounds of randoms a few of which look to be surplus with no clear ID marks/stampings. What would be the best method to dispose of these? I live in the burbs, so sticking them bullet down in the dirt is not really what I have in mind... thanks for any input.
  7. Here’s my little boat, the trailer used to be for a jetski. I don’t own a pick up, I pull this with my standard shift, four door commuter car.
  8. It’s not of the three you listed, but I have a 12’ aluminum row boat with ores and a trolling motor. Plenty of room for gear and kids. My small trailer tows easy, and it’s pretty easy to launch. For not so easy areas with only hand launches, I built a wooden dolly to “wheel” the boat to the water. But of the three you mentioned the Bantam would be my vote. You have room for another person, gear, and the option to stand up from time to time is a big deal. Canoes and kayaks are great, but damn I’d be stiff and sore for a day or three after being confined to that sitting position for a few hours.
  9. Here's an easy one: " Give me a diablo sandwich, a Dr. Pepper, and make it quick, I'm in a god-damn hurry. "
  10. HA! Yeah that actually looks pretty good. I wonder if Brolin is a deer hunter?
  11. Helmut, that would have been so cool, I was a a mere 3 years old....
  12. Slayer/Anthrax in Albany Ozzy in Syracuse. I might try to goto a few others, but those 2 I have tickets for already.
  13. The Sling Shot Channel. He makes some really cool stuff, go watch some videos if you get bored some day.
  14. I might to get out tomorrow, havent decided where I want to go yet though.
  15. 40 is only a year away! I have some maintenance schedules coming up soon, and am not looking forward to them.
  16. I think the Smith's set I have the guides are 20, 25, and 30.
  17. I bought a worksharp recently myself. Love it. I suck at sharpening with a stone, and I also tried the Smith's sharpener with the angle guides, and still suck at it. The Worksharp is the way to go for me. Arm hair shaving sharp is plenty for me.
  18. I’ve got some Velcro actually. I will test out to see how well it holds up.
  19. Yeah pretty much sounds like me too!
  20. I take my. Two boys out sometimes. 5 & 9, so they are the loud ones. Spray rubber might work, I think you’d need a lot through. I was going to leave a 1” wide gap down the middle to allow water to run to the rear where I have only 1 drain plug.
  21. Hey guys/gals. I’ve got an old 12’ aluminum row boat. I’d like to quiet the floor down some with some foam mats that I have (harbor freight anti fatigue). What would be the best way to attach them? I don’t really want to use spray glue, as it would be difficult to change the mats down the road. Would 3m double stick strips work? Thanks for any advice.
  22. Gun range with lots of guns and targets. Cigars, and whiskey afterwards, go get a fat steak dinner, end the evening with bar hopping and maybe even give a single mom or two a few dollar bills!
  23. Comicbooks man.....unless there is a body they arent dead(and thats even up for debates). Hey Redskull was still alive, we saw him go away in the First Avenger. Plus in the actual comic books, much of what Thanos did gets undone by Adam Warlock(not currently in the movies)....So those that we saw ash will likey come back, the ones who were killed off prior to that is a toss up.
  24. Robert Downey JR hinted at this a few years ago after Iron Man 3.
