  1. Ive heard from some co-workers and the like, that the new judges are much more in favor of granting CCW. I am in the process of writing a letter for upgrade to my permit.

    Worms/Crawlers

I prefer using live worms over the fakes, I've had much better luck, plus my 6 year old likes the worms. We store them in one of these worm boxes and that stays in the garage fridge when its really hot out. Honestly I prefer the Canadian crawlers, I usually grab them over at Gander Outdoors(this last season anyways), and had great luck with them, break one in half and good to go. https://www.amazon.com/Intruder-NightCrawler-Packed-Lively-Bedding/dp/B07BQ5B7QC/ref=asc_df_B07BQ5B7QC/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312031058067&hvpos=1o4&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3069849510371558630&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9005078&hvtargid=pla-569112011024&psc=1
  3. A buddy and I were doing some early spring scouting in 7F today and we found these.
  4. I drink Dunkin. I buy the original blend in bags, and brew at home. I drink it black, but I will add creme/sugar on occasion.....Or irish cream in the evenings. Ive tried Death Wish, and it has good flavor, a little pricey per pound, but Its a nice treat to buy once in a while.. Starbucks is just gross to me, bitter and expensive.
  5. They used to be....I live in the Syracuse area, and I feel the store has had a slow decline since the new owners took over. It sucks, because I used to love that store, and the last few times i've been there it was underwhelming! Runnings and Gander Outdoors are now my two go-to stores.
  6. Your regular gear should be just fine. I wear my normal stuff, then in the snow, I have a set of windbreaker style over coat and bibs in snow camo. A super cheap snow camo as some have mentioned are those paint booth one piece jump suits, or even cheaper still is go buy a white bed sheet, and cut a hole in the center and wear it like a poncho.
  7. I bought a set from Herb Phillipsons, that is just a large wind breaker type jacket and bibs that go over my regular hunting clothes. It wasn't very expensive, I think I got the pants and bibs for under $75. Hat, gloves, and face shields, I've purchased separately off Amazon or whatever.
  8. Hey guys. I am hoping to get into my second season of coyote hunting soon. I went last season in the southern tier, and was able to shoot and kill one coyote. This was on my dad's land, and he kept that coyote for the pelt. Being home in Onondaga county, I really dont know where to take a coyote if I kill one. I personally don't want the pelt, and I really don't want to just drag a dead coyote over to the brush and leave it either. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  9. Honestly, the cheek was good for me. It shot great. Snappy little round. Here is the best 3 shot group I got at 50 yards.
  10. Ha ha...I had them already, and the scope didnt come with any....So I used them for this.
  11. I got a new rifle. Savage Bmag in .17WSM. Took it out today! Snappy little round.
  12. Jack the car up, so you can freely spin the wheel. Once doing so reach in and grab a coil on the strut spring. you can feel a faint "vibration" if the bearing is bad. A mechanic showed me this once, one side that was bad, you could feel the vibration in the coil spring as you rotated the wheel. Did it on the opposite side and the spring coil was dead in hand. Also wheel bearings usually hum once past 30 MPH. The humming changes going around a curve or bend, then comes back once straight on.
  13. I have a ICOtec GC300. I bought it used off Craigslist, and it works damn good.
  14. I just wash and dry as I would any other item. I have an old self standing clothes closet in the basement that I keep all my hunting clothes in during off season. I have not found a need to de-scent the washer or dryer before washing dirty hunting clothes.
  15. I dont think so. I've rifle hunted Nelson Swamp with no issues in the past. Have not yet tried Stoney Pond.
  16. Good luck. I'm hoping to get on some Coyotes right after Xmas.
  17. If you drive about 20-30 minutes over the hill and head towards Morrisville, there are some plots of state land, Nelson Swamp, and Stoney Pond.
  18. Curious....with the shooting bag, do you lay prone or was this just a photo op? I was thinking of maybe trying the prone technique for coyotes. Awesome looking build BTW.
  19. CVA Wolf with a Nikon XR 3-9 2 pellets of HMR whitehots 777 primers 240 grain Hornady XTPs(love these bullets).
  20. Do it on the app or on your computer....super easy and quick. Ive done it upwards of 2 weeks afterwards, no issues.
  21. I wont totally write Dicks off, but they sure aren't my first stop...maybe my fourth or fifth. I am really enjoying the new Gander Outdoors, despite what that CEO said earlier this year... Also Runnings is way high on my list of favorite stores that sell all the hunting and fishing gear I'd ever want.
