Yes the third hand bow holder is nice. I don’t really like climbing with the bow in it, but while sitting, it’s nice. Holds my bow, xbow, and I’ve hung my rifle/muzzleloader from it via the sling.

the Third Hand straps are nice, makes the stand very solid when you get up in the tree.

I had a gen 1 Optima, used it for a few years and sold it when they came out with the new breech plug design. Now I have a Stainless steel CVA Wolf, hunted two years with open sights. Killed my best buck with it. I popped on a Nikon 3x9 and it now sits on top of it. Great gun for the money.

I had an old camo fanny pack, cut the straps off, and zip tied it to the right side of my Viper Mini. I carry just the essentials. If it doesnt fit, I dont take it. Also I tied up my hoist rope to the frame, and coil it up and stuff it into the smaller front pocket of the pack. Ive had this set up for maybe 2-3 years now. I only used one fanny pack, because 2 would just be more weight with more stuff. Also the Molle shoulder and waist gear are 100X better than the stock Summit straps.

The Hazmore seat is nice for packing up and all, but the summit seat is way more comfortable... -
Smoking deal on Summit stands on Amazon

I have one, and I can confirm they are noisey. They work great for hauling out, but they are loud if your trying to sneak in with the climber attached like a dolly. I have seen a few nice DIY carts made from jogging strollers that have me thinking about it. -
Hey all. I have a 16” .556 barrel up for sale. No shots through it. It came on a complete upper that I swapped barrels out. Included is a muzzle device, crush washer, gas block and tube. $85 to your door! Or can meet within a little bit of Syracuse.

I was at Gander last night to get some non smelly soap. My 6 year old finds a bin full of "butt out" tools in the isle, holds it up in the air and asks loudly..."Dad, what is this thing?" LOL, cant tell you son!

Not sure if 25 grains will really slow you down much to notice. Ideally you'd want a new arrow that has a greater gpi so the weight is distributed across the shaft. I'd say try it and see how it goes, if its less than desirable it only cost you time and a package of 125 field points.

Centerpoint 370 which bolts and broad heads?
loworange88 replied to Bionic's topic in CrossBow Hunting
The included bolts arent very good IMO. I went with the Carbon Express Piledrivers, and they hit like a freight train. I am using 4 blade fixed Slick Trick Magnums for broadheads. I keep one of the included bolts in the quiver for the discharge bag. -
Hey everyone. I have a 1992 Johnson 4Hp Deluxe twin outboard. I got the motor used from a coworker. The engine did not really run when I got it, I had to remove the carb and give it a basic cleaning and put it back together. Also the water pump impeller was beat, so I changed that, and gave the bottom end a fresh fill of fluid. OK, so I can get the engine running if its cold(maybe 4-6 pulls), it will idle decent enough. So when I engage it into gear and travel across the water I can go about 300 yards(ish) and then the pitch of the engine changes, it sounds as if its under heavy load, then it usually bogs right down and stalls. The cylinder head where the spark plugs are seems to get hot, and I get a little bit of grey smoke under the cowl, but once I open it I cannot tell where it comes from. Restart at this point is super hard, if at all. After it sets for a while, it will start up again( usually alot of pulls) it will stumble 3-4 times before it actually stays running. So then all over again, it will run strong for a short distance and then peter out and die. I was trying to keep sqeezing the primer bulb incase I was losing fuel pressure, but that didnt seem to make a difference. I was suspect of the ignition coils, so I tested them with my meter, and one was 252Ohms, and the other was 260Ohms. My manual stated 275 +/- 50Ohms. I was suspect of the safety kill switch at one point so I disconnected that via the factory single pin plug. I did test the continuity of the circuit and it checked out as "good" per the manual. Lastly I have taken apart the fuel pump which seemed to be in decent shape, but I ordered a new gasket kit for it anyways and that is currently in route. What other items should I check or attempt at this point. Thanks in advance.

Slick Trick Magnums 100gr for fixed, and I've been using Rage Chisel tips for a few years now. Unless both companys discontinue either one, I'm happy with both.

hang ons seem less expensive, but by the time you buy all the spikes, or stick ladders, and straps, its about the same as a ladder stand. Plus the ladder stands are just so much easier to get into. I also use a climber from time to time.

Cordless Electric garden tools don't always suck .
loworange88 replied to Hunter007's topic in General Chit Chat
Same, the new 18V plus tools have all been good for me. I just got the straight shaft 18V weed trimmer, and it does my whole yard on a full battery. The string head design they have works really well too. No complaints here. Techtronics or "TTI" manufactures Ryobi, Milwaukee, Homelite and a bunch of others....many of the products are done in the same facilities or possibly on the same production lines. -
HA! Good for you. I lift and workout during the cold months primarily. Usually I start back from my spring/summer off season in early August, then by mid October I have a decent start, mostly free weights in the basement with some cardio mixed in....it definately helps to be somewhat in shape for the deer season than not, also keeps my lower back in check.

Reel Deal Fishing Charters out of Truro! These guys know what they are doing. My wife and I did a five hour charter(just us) and it was like $550. I'd recommend them to anyone wanting to go fishing off the cape. https://fishreeldeal.com/ Here is one of 7 stripers that we caught that size....30 pounder, and holy cow do they put up a fight.

I wonder why the order of protection to stay away from the victim's spouse? From what little the article gives, that one statement feels odd.

Happy Birthday, have a great day. -
Last summer at the DEC boat launch in Bridgeport I was going out with my then 5 year old in my 12' aluminum boat. This launch is pretty big, so 3, perhaps 4 cars could all launch at the same time. I had just gotten shoved off and was trolling out away from the dock and this was in the lane to my left...maybe 20 feet away when this happened: There was a two guys there with a yellow/white cabin cruizer boat (cuddy), decent sized boat I'd guess 20' perhaps. It was on a trailer and these guys parked at the turn around and proceeded to get the boat ready for launch, I was already in the process of putting in the water. So when these two chuckle heads line up the trailer with one guy on the floating dock, the driver of the truck backs down the concrete ramp as I'm about 20' away already out in the water, and I wasnt looking but I heard a very loud rumble and boom, so I looked over and the boat had flew off the trailer(roller trailer) and slammed down half in the water and half onto the concrete ramp. Scared the hell out of me. The two guys looked puzzled, and then the driver of the truck gets out and looks what happened....says out loud "Holy Sh!!, it was a roller trailer, I didnt know it was a roller trailer." I was out on the water for a while fishing with my son, and they somehow got the boat out of there, as they were gone when I came back in, but holy crap, I cannot imagine the potential damage to the hull of that boat.

Thanks everyone! It was a good one. My wife and I went to Cape Cod for a few days, and did some Sea Bass fishing...

Concealed Carry in Onondaga County
loworange88 replied to boo711's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
UPDATE: I got a letter from the County on Saturday 6-1. Upgraded to "NO RESTRICTIONS". I now need to just make a trip down to the sheriffs office to get my new card with the updated status. -
a panel farm was installed on a lot near my Dad's house. the fence around the panels now acts as a funnel for wildlife now. aside from that, it doesnt seem to change much, at least on our spot.

I have a 12' shallow V aluminum row boat, though I havent used it for hunting yet, it seems like it would be good for holding some gear and even transporting game. Another Idea would be maybe a 10' Jon Boat. Super stable, roomy, and can be transported without a trailer in the bed of a truck, or as a car topper.

Concealed Carry in Onondaga County

Ive heard that of the three new judges that two are very likely to grant an upgrade, while the third judge is on the fence, but tends to grant upgrades as well(peer pressure). I just dropped of my letter to ask for an upgrade to CCW. We shall see if I get it. Fingers crossed.
