I hunt for the freezer so if opportunity knocks, I'm pulling the trigger on one. Shot one opening morning last year. Without hesitation. Don't think a doe or two is really going to change 'search" by the bucks. Big doe or big bodied buck with small rack, big buck with large rack all eat the same IMO. Interesting comment about buttons hanging around. Anytime I see a button he's all by himself and gets a pass anyhow. Blockheads are pretty easy to define.

Great pic and I was expecting to see a nice rainbow trout

Did you buy him the "lifetime license" ? I should have for my daughter when the price was cheaper. Now it's more but still may do it with next tax return.

Range Finders
turkeyfeathers replied to wolc123's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
I used to play a lot of competitive golf and have a Bushnell 1500 I've used for golf and now hunting for 10 years or so. It's a little bigger than all range finders today. It works great to check certain trees , stumps and such for yardages in anticipation of where the deer / turkey may show up. After playing golf for so long I've always had a pretty good at distance. Looks like a stock #9 iron , yup that's 150 yards. Sand wedge , yup that's 100 yards lol. Only shotgun and ML hunter here though with not much shooting possibilities in the woods I hunt beyond 150 yards. So it's mainly put the crosshairs on my mark and squeeze the trigger anyhow with not worrying about "aim high" etc I obviously could see these things very helpful for bow hunters -
Birds will start to group up in late summer/fall. Two years ago I had a flock of 33 meandor thru while I was deer hunting. Awesome sight to see. I've never seen more than 5-6 birds together in these same woods while turkey hunting. My guess would be they flock together to locate food sources as a group over the winter. I definitely cut large groups of tracks in the winter . Come spring groups will split.

Waxed dirt also works very well. There's some youtube videos on how to make it

pretty sure all devices he's logged in to this sight would/could be blocked from getting back in. I retired my Beeradvocate account and I can't get onto sight with phone ,home computer or work computer even to view. Says I'm banned from even looking without logging in.

The POS that came with my Summit climber is far from a vest . I chucked it the day I got it. If I could figure out how to put it on inside of 20 minutes I'd be lucky , and lucky not to strangle myself had I fell using it.

I was under the assumption doe only in Erie county right now ?! Can't get rid of this underscore/bold print,,,ugh

skip the harness IMO. Houdini would have troubles getting into one in the dark. I bought myself a Life Support (or something like that ) climbing vest. It has seat belt like buckles that clip around each thigh and three quick buckles on chest .
