    Hope your son is back at it for redemption this morning. Go get em lil guy ! It'll be bitter sweet if he tips him over another day. Been there done that as I'm sure we all have. All quiet in 9h after birds gobbled on roost.

    Camo duct tape works well : ). Had my 12 year old daughter out yesterday and she's a rock. Same here , gobbles on roost and been quiet since.

    Nice bird Congrats. I'm sitting next to " my tree" right now. Pretty sure it's 10 birds from this tree. So far today number 11 aint looking so grand.

    Another fine day in the woods. Good luck to all. Listening to birds gobbling on roost , woodpecker racket and watching 2 deer in the field. Life is good

    3-5 birds starting ripping on roost at 5. Hit the deck and quieted right down. Nice day to be in the woods. Hopefully I can fire them up again

    At about $8 a pull I only shoot once to make sure gun didn't get bumped in the safe when I put it on paper ever year before season

    wild leeks ? looking forward to sitting in the turkey woods soon and mid May or so digging some up. FYI : never sit in a leek patch turkey hunting while hungover !!

    Was he henned up ? Birds may gobble a lot one day and nothing the next. If we could figure out turkeys and it was easy most of us wouldn't do it. Turkeys do have some set patterns , from roost to feed, they'll roam to same areas and back to roost. Pattern them

    No calling ? That doesn't sound fun at all IMO. It's about fooling the bird not ambushing him . Mine as well limb shoot him or buy one at grocery store.

    Then why should we hunt !? We are constantly "interupting a natural occurrence in the wild". We as predators are also" picking and choosing which animals we consume". So how is that not screwing up the ecosystem ?

    Surprised he pumped out a 20 " rebar with the temps we've had. I always cross stake my canine sets. Hope you locate him again. Any dry dirt under bridges or fallen logs you could get ? A little while in the oven will dry it out further too. A little late now but waxed dirt is awesome

    I've noticed the last few days a lot of deer foraging for browse all herded up. In small roadside plots between houses and all times of the day.

    Have had Keen low hikers for about 10 years with hundreds of miles on them. Actually just got a new pair for Christmas only because the support was worn down a smidge. Merrel ankle hikers for about as long. Love both brands. Smartwool socks with them all the time

    Very fond of my Bushnell 3 x 9 x 30 Elite 3200 with Firefly on my ML. Wasn't expensive but nor cheap
