  1. That really looks great. You mentioned that you used about 50% pork. What cuts did you use? Or, did you use pork trimmings for the extra fat?
  2. I'm not saying it's all trash, but when all you do is make a thread, post a link to ny times, and don't even put personal commentary, you have to understand this is why many people consider it trolling. Does the same standard apply if the links come from Prison Planet?
  3. He's a good DC, a fair HC, and an awful GM. Not sure what his role was in personnel with the Bills. But, as he got more input into picking players with the Jets, the team got worse and worse.
  4. Didn't get any better for the Jets after they fired him. It's all about the players. He inherited decent players when he took over the Jets and had two good seasons. Aging players and lousy drafting lead to a lousy team. When the team is winning, Rex is entertaining. When the team sucks, he's a clown.
  5. Hope they're kidding. There's no snow here on Long island.
  6. I use only 'lightsout' cameras. I think that helps also- no flash to give away the cameras location if someone walks by in the dark.
  7. Not at all. Learning how to put yourself in position to have a shot opportunity is how you make yourself a better hunter.
  8. Yep. Vitamix is no joke. It's a professional grade product. They have started selling more 'affordable' models for non-professionals. But, even those are $300+.
  9. Nutribullet. My wife uses it everyday just for smoothies. It really does a great job. No need to spend a fortune. I got it at Costco and it came with a bunch of different sized cups and lids. I think it cost about $90. Really easy to clean also.
  10. Core, for the most part, the public land on Long Island has limited access- sites are numbered and only one or two cars per site. And, for parts of the season, you need a reservation. I drive past about a dozen or so of the numbered sites on my way to and from work. The majority of them are usually empty.
  11. All the comments and complaints about the whining and protesting... is this supposed to be better?
  12. 92, you'll notice that the majority of the threads intended to cause arguments are started by the same two guys. Actually, they might be the same person.
  13. You might try asking the bowhunters on this site. I see cars parked in those sites all the time on my way to and from work. If the birds are around, they could probably tell you. I usually see them from the road in the spring, but not this time of year.
  14. There are a lot of turkeys all over eastern Suffolk.
  15. Like Moog said, not easy to get a bank to finance a property without something already built on it.
  16. I saw a lot of chasing this weekend in 4F. Some of the bucks were pretty aggressively pushing does around. Didn't see any does that were receptive.
  17. I agree. Many people couldn't vote for Hillary because of all the corruption and scandals. And, many didn't want to vote for Trump because he acted like a buffoon.
  18. Agreed- it's expensive up front, but a lot more practical if you live far from your hunting land. I've just always found trail cameras to be unreliable. I buy at least two or three new ones every year and find that too many of them don't work. Just this past year, I bought three cuddybacks from cabelas. Only one of them works at all.
  19. Is this the one that texts/emails you when you get a picture?
  20. You're right- there's a difference between a protest and a riot. And, yes, he absolutely did tweet the quote in included in my post- just after the 2012 election. Not sure who the rest of your lecture was directed at. I made no such comparisons.
