  1. When played backwards it clearly says, "Ish-comnibutz flug dixen, con foppin der knuter."
  2. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke) The federal government is spending billions of dollars every year pursuing internal threats, while allowing external threats to freely cross our borders completely unchecked. This is a serious problem and should be considered unacceptable. Regarding the internal threats: "Because [federal] agents create crime, rather than merely detect it, they hold the power to create the appearance of guilt... Many of the values reflected in our Constitution are directly threatened by these operations." -1984 report, US House Subcommittee on Civil & Constitutional Rights ETA: Changed my mind, I'm not going further.
  3. Thanks for joining us!
  4. I don't really care what Ted Cruz does on his own time. It's not my business. But, if I'm expected to hire him for the position of President of my country I want to know everything about him before I hire him.
  5. "Tree parachuting". Climb a tall skinny tree on a steep hillside, rock it back and forth until you could get it headed downhill, and enjoy the ride. "Canoeing". Find a dead log along the Canandaigua Outlet and ride it downstream until someone points out that we have to walk back to our bicycles.. "Hide-n-seek". Done in standing cornfields. No crying allowed. Pay attention to your surroundings or you will surely suffer. "Get a peek at Jenny's panties". No comment.
  6. When one vision of the US conflicts with a different vision of the US, this is the result.
  7. He was an old-school icon. Very sad day for music. For the folks in Buffalo, I'm sure there will be bands doing 'tribute' nights over the next few months. Steam Donkeys, Flatbed, New Coots, Buffalo Band Named Sue...
  8. Some history that hasn't been revised, yet: Our current President made a world tour apologizing to every country on the planet that is known to harbor, train, and support international terrorism. Often bending a knee to foreign dictators. Apologizing for what?. American efforts to reduce terrorism. Shall I continue?
  9. The public school system is currently incapable of even teaching "the three R's". We as a nation are unwilling to even fix that little problem. I appreciate the sentiment, Doc, and I agree with the premise. But any change will have to be from the bottom up, rather than from the top down. Like-minded parents will have to get together to force their local school boards to accept their views. Very few parents are willing to go out on that limb given the current political climate. It's an unfortunate reality, but we have officially been marginalized. In the mean time, take a kid or a newbie hunting. Or fishing, or shooting, or camping...
  10. I'd have to think hard about .22 vs .17, but the others would be a 12 ga and the only CF rifle I own. If I go with my T/C Contender can I keep all the barrels, or would that be cheating?
  11. The Globalists aren't screwing around. They're intensely focused. And they're mostly winning. We shouldn't be screwing around either, but someone will be along shortly to call me an alarmist radical. "It's a Republic, if you can keep it." -- Benjamin Franklin More salient today than it was 230 years ago. Then again, there were fewer internal enemies at that point in history.
  12. That's very disturbing. Wrong attitude for someone blessed with the privilege of being an American.
  13. This is new to me. I keep a very close eye on politics today, so I'll add as info develops.
  14. Glad to have you with us.
  15. What kind of flooring, Ants? I'd be happy to help guide you along. Sheet vinyl and carpet aren't my strong points, but I have a lot of experience with everything else. This could be a good sticky thread: Homeowner helper stuff. ?
  16. My friend is an executive of a local bank, and he nailed it: To paraphrase -- 'My life would be a lot easier if I would simply bend a knee to the federal government, but that action would run contrary to the needs of many of my customers. I'm forced to follow the duly constituted laws, but I won't be subject to the capricious nature of their wants.' He's a guy who gives a crap about his community, and his business is growing in spite of the federal government.
  17. I agree completely! It has to be a grassroots movement, though, because we live in a state that is openly hostile to anything involving private ownership of weapons... The traditions of hunting are increasingly 'allowed', rather than affirmed, across much of the country.
  18. A Ruger 10/22 that I was doing semi-auto bench rest with. It had a great thumbhole stock before the SAFE Act. The laminated Boyds stock in this photo never got the bedding work that the thumbhole had, mostly because I was angry... The receiver is Ruger. Boyds 'tacticool' stock. Mueller scope with Burris rings. Barrel, bolt, spring set, and 1.25# trigger from Kidd. It's a very light-weight setup for all day carry, and even without decent bedding it shoots well under 1/2" at 50 yards. I'll get to the bedding one of these days. :-] A little better 'posed' photo with some stock experimentation:
  19. Love it!! Loud and proud! I'd have to sell my tractor to get another bike, but it's been on my mind. The tractor makes things easier for me now, but the bike was Freedom Incarnate 35 or 40 years ago! The Soros-backed disrupters are going to have to rethink their game plan.
  20. First I'm hearing of it, but I like the idea. ;-]
  21. Lake City is high quality. It's not standard issue. My only point.
  22. Most .223 brass picked up at a range is going to be mil-spec. It's a very 'hard' and thick brass and doesn't even like to be reloaded, let alone re-formed. There was a very good reason for this, back when enemies were recognized... ;-] It can be annealed and whatnot, but in the end you're better off spending money on virgin brass that can be loaded 10, 15, even 20 times before being discarded. JMHO.
