Pistol Permit Recertification
philoshop replied to fasteddie's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Thanks for the heads-up Eddie. I had kind of forgotten that the 5 year date was that close. I wonder how much they're going to charge us to keep our legally-owned guns. -
Easily half of Obama's administration, including Obama himself, could be implicated as being complicit in the illegal activities of the Clintons over the last eight years. Allowing the current riots to continue and to gain momentum is Obama's idea of leverage, or a 'bargaining chip', against a Trump administration. Basically, Obama will call off 'the dogs' if he gets assurances from Trump that he won't be dragged into the Hillary mess. Trump's not biting, and the professional protestors will continue to destroy and disrupt as long as Obama is president, and the media will continue to spin the mess as "all Trump's fault". Notice that the rioting is happening entirely in Leftist controlled cities and jurisdictions across the country where the authorities simply step aside and let 'the children' have their way. 'The children' in this situation don't even have a viable grievance.

UNBELIVABLE

I disagree with some of your positions and premises, but I appreciate the coherent statement(s) being made without the usual derogatory inferences regarding President Elect Trump. The man has every intention of doing good things for the country, and he deserves a chance. That's all. -
The only power Trump has until he's sworn in on Jan 20 is the power of persuasion. Obama is struggling to maintain some small sort of presidential legacy and Trump holds all the cards in that respect. I'm sure that Trump hasn't forgotten the humility that Obama heaped on him during the 2011 Washington Correspondent's Dinner, and Trump knows that he's holding a few of Obama's short-hairs with which to keep him in check over the next 2 months. Trump holds the power to completely disgrace and humiliate Obama, and Obama knows it. It was visible in his face when he made his speech this morning. I don't really foresee anything too outrageous from Obama for the rest of his term. Then again...

November 8, 2016, TRUMP KICKS bASS

I'm going to try to be gracious in victory, but if some liberal jacka** spouts off with their nonsense they're in for a buttload of gloating, teasing, taunting, and ridicule. If I can make them cry, so much the better. -

I don't 'hate' the Left, and I don't even hate you, Uptown. I feel a bit sad for the fact that you and they hold some pretty strange views regarding Patriotism and what it means to be an American, but I'm capable of doing that without hate. You want to blame everything on Trump, already, but you might take a look in the mirror to see what's really causing the division in our country. In the end, you're free to leave if you really don't like it. -
Congratulations to team Trump, and to everyone who voted in this election. And to every shred of power-as-usual in this country, "Can you hear us now?"

Hilary Again Cleared by FBI
philoshop replied to Uptown Redneck's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Clinton hasn't been "cleared" of anything. Comey recently stated that he will stand by his July pronouncement that no one would/will prosecute her even after he clearly laid out several chargeable offenses that could easily be applied. What he said, in short, is not that Clinton is innocent, but that she's simply untouchable. Big difference there, and all it's going to take is for someone with some real sand to stand up and pursue those case(s). She's gambling on her ascension to the throne to preclude anything like that, and this is one of the big reasons Trump is such an immediate threat to her personally. -
Who's Voting For Hillary ?

...and Mexico has a wall on it's own southern border to keep control of the influx of the Central Americans. I'd venture the CA nations paid for that wall in some way or another. -

It took me a while to realize that being patriotic and passionate about the future of my country made me a "radical". It was an unpleasant realization for me that occurred just over the last 8 years. When Benjamin Franklin exited the Constitutional Convention he was asked, "What have you given us?" His reply was, "A Republic, if you can keep it." We're not currently doing a very good job of keeping it. I've posted this video before, but it's the perfect time for a refresher as it is background only with no hating with regard to either 'side' in this fight. http://www.wimp.com/the-american-form-of-government/ -
Who's Voting For Hillary ?
philoshop replied to Salmon_Run's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The only poll that matters is the one happening tomorrow in the voting booths across the country. The rest of it is just crystal-ball-gazing, wishful thinking, and a big dose of media manipulation. -
Who's Voting For Hillary ?

If you saw Clinton screaming, ranting, and raving at her Florida rally yesterday you can only come to one conclusion: she's beyond unhinged, she's barking mad. Wait, we saw her earlier this summer actually barking. That should have been a solid clue. -

Who's Voting For Hillary ?
philoshop replied to Salmon_Run's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I could never, ever, vote for Clinton. If she is somehow elected three days from now it's an absolute certainty that every bit of our national sovereignty, and whatever it means to "Be American" that we hold so dear, will be up for sale to the highest bidder before the year is out. That's how she rolls, and it doesn't work for a lot of us. Trump has a lot of good, solid, realistic policies and ideas. He's also got the 'stones' to stand up against the Uniparty Cabal in this fight. I can't think of anyone better to lead this movement of real change in our country. I am not alone. -
I've never seen such a thing Eddie. I just used a very precise pair of surgical-grade tweezers that get used for sliver/splinter extractions and have become standard truck equipment since the late 1970's.

The adoring Clinton supporters like to point out that Jim Comey and the FBI never found any guilt, and that Hillery should therefore be considered innocent. This kind of BS thinking can be easily dismissed. James Comey laid out a very clear picture of the crimes and guilt of Hillary and her minion/operatives. What he actually said, in the end, is that he found compelling reason to recommend prosecution but was unable to do so. Somebody, somewhere, with a lot of political clout, was running this episode of US political 2016 Drama.

The whole thing about quick/immediate testing is the point. Nobody in the medical system seems to care about Lyme Disease, and they don't order the very inexpensive blood test to take it out of the equation.. I can be really cynical about the US health care system and say that there's just not enough money in the effective treatment and prevention of Lyme. There is simply a lot more money to be made in remediation than in prevention.

Roughly one year ago I was primarily concerned with limiting the destruction of my woods while still keeping my little shack heated with firewood. Careful toppings and take-downs were key issues for me. Today I can't even lift my bigger chainsaws to carry them into the woods. This is not something that just happens normally to guys in their late 50's.

It's not an expensive blood test, and I will never again ignore any possibility. Just sayin', folks. I've spent most of the last 24 hours talking, e-mailing, and texting with various outdoors-people I happen to know. A wildlife biologist from Maryland, A couple of En-Con officers here in NYS. A hunting and fishing guide from Quebec. A logger from Pennsylvania. And a commercial fish farm owner and international consultant in the industry from New Hampshire. The one thing that every one of these people has said is, "Don't wait to get tested, and don't ignore the possibility of anything being related to Lyme Disease." I'm just trying to get a handle on what's happening to me and my body right now, and if there's a possibility that all of the expert medical specialists I've seen over the last six weeks have overlooked something, I'm hoping to find out what that is. I won't elaborate on this at all, but I'm not a whiny crybaby when it comes to being injured. I found myself wide awake and sitting upright in my bed at 2:45 this morning with tears streaming down my face just wishing I knew what the hell was wrong with me.

I'm calling the hospital lab on Monday. At least eliminate it as a cause of my current problems.
