Where do you carry the deer though?

She was a lovely lady trapper named Reiter. While trapping, she was quite an overachiever. She released many plush coyote, bobcat, and mink. But she said something strange I think. When she said, she preferred, to keep a bald beaver.

Natural will always work better than synthetic, when it comes to scrapes. DIY.

I was at work in a commercial print shop, and heard it on the radio. Everyone gathered at a computer monitor to watch it unfold. We all felt the fear, confusion, disbelief and anger, that morning. I remember it like it was yesterday. Later that afternoon, I got word that my maternal grandmother passed away. From natural causes, not from the attacks. We had a moment of silence throughout the school district this morning. Never Forget.

I'll take two at that price!! Looks like only four sides in the picture. Perhaps I can get a discount?? Here is my credit card # 00SCREWY0U2

Picked up a Lyman Turbo 2200 case cleaner today for a 'song and dance'. Looks pretty good, anyone else use these? Plenty of room for a bunch of rifle cases. Will try it out soon. Too busy to get down to the bench now.

When we were down to Camden Yards a month ago, there were two yankees fans for every Baltimore fan. Nice place to see a game, though the city itself is the pits. Enjoy the game!

One of the things I like most about you Biz, is that you are always the optimist!!! We'll see how it all plays out.

This thread sure is a LOT quieter, than is was this time last year. I wonder why that is???? But the Sawx did pick up a ring. Even though they gutted their farm system, and maxed out their payroll to get it. To the point that Boston's short term future looks bleak at best. But hey....it's win or go home. I get that.

zag you made the very best decision for your talented son, based on the situation. Sports, or anything, is not more important than doing all we can as parents, to keep our kids healthy. And protecting them from long term issues, if we have the opportunity to do so. As parents, that is among our number one priority. Your son is only eleven. The competition in football only gets bigger, faster, and stronger in football, as you go up to the HS varsity level. As I said in my earlier post, I get nervous watching my grandson play at the varsity level. I know he loves the game, and trains hard, year round to be in top playing shape. But the hits at that level are frightening. He has the very best in coaching and equipment. But it still scares the crap outta me! If by a long shot, he does get a scholarship to play football, no doubt it will take a toll on him later in life. Ask any former collegiate football player. They've all payed a toll for their tuition. Some more than others. Baseball for your son will be his outlet. Now he can concentrate year round on developing his skills. There are the indoor winter camps. These are very good at developing, and improving skills that he will use when the grass gets green. And get him in to the best travel teams available. The better the competition, the better your son will be. I wish him and you good health, recovering from the concussions. As said by someone else, one day he will understand, and thank you for protecting him.

There are some HUGE bucks in the Pine Bush. Yeah...hunting in there can be a bit sketchy. And the ticks are plentiful to say the least. But I know a couple guys that hunt there, and put down very nice bucks every year. Just take a bit of planning, and a willingness to adapt.

What a time to be out of likes!!! Congratulations to you both!!! Ya did real good my friend!!! Perfect backdrop!! Are we all invited????

Hunting in SC? I killed a decent velvet 8pt in SC in 1980. Still have family and friends in Summerville, outside Charleston. Always wanted to go back down, and hopefully get a bigger one. Mmmmmm. May have to make a couple calls.

Happy Birthday! Times two! -
Not sure what to do with him? Will try to find something constructive. Don't really want him to go completely to waste. Maybe a set of rattling antlers for my grandson? Or just decoration for the barn.

Doc builds a fine blind! Where's he been lately?

You have to have a talk with his doctor. Ask point blank what he recommends. And follow that advice. Nothing is more important than the health of the kids. Concussions are much more understood these days. And the understanding is, even one is not good. Much less suffering multiple. My grandson is a pretty good athlete too. Has a legitimate chance at a scholarship in baseball and football. Starting varsity as a sophomore, in a large school, playing ISLB, and offensive and defensive tackle. Hits and gets hit a lot. Playing against some 350 plus pound kids. I hold my breath every time he plays. I was saving up for a varmint rifle. The almost $900 went to get him a better helmet and other gear, before the season started. But still, never any guarantee's that it will prevent a concussion. Or any other injury.

I like this scenario Larry!!!!

Got up early and went to the lake property, to check the setups over there. And trim up stuff in the shooting lanes. All set now! Looks great! Tons of deer sign too. This is usually a great early season spot. So I'll concentrate my efforts there early on. Always a chance at a mature buck too. This is where I'll likely get my bow kill this year. 22 yards to this run. It's a perfect natural deer funnel. And we've taken a bunch of deer here over the years.

While doing some stuff at the farm today, found this deadhead. Never saw him by eye or on camera. Real nice one for this area.Would have liked to have seen him while hunting last year. A nice mature buck. Would have been really nice this year. No idea what killed him. Picked clean.
