  1. But you are, after all from Dicksville ! Is that anywhere near Ballston???............ I do agree to your post Belo. As much as I'd like to at times, I can't just say anything I want, at anytime, anywhere, without some repercussions. Even if it is a Constitutional Right. Common sense and free speech should go together. Just because you have a Right, doesn't mean you should use it foolishly. Some understand this better than others. And please don't get me wrong, I'm all for exercising our Rights. But I believe the US Constitution, was written with a lot of common sense. And best applied for everyone when using some. Sadly, too many have lost sight of this. And just spout useless garbage, that few listen to.
  2. I play better with left handed shoes. Even though I'm a righty. It helps to make up for all the other skills I lack in my game.
  3. I'm on board with this too. Shoot what you like, like what you shoot. No hunter should ever be shamed for shooting a legal deer. Even a BB or doe fawn, if that is what the hunter chooses to shoot. It's all good. It's all hunting. And who among us has never made a mistake or a bad shot? Anytime someone does either or, and asks for advice, after the fact. We should all do what we can to help, not ostresize and shame a fellow hunter. They surely feel bad enough as it is. No one will benefit from the mistake at this point, if no one helps. Most 'good' hunters, can and will learn more from their mistakes, than their successes. I know I do. On an open forum, there will be many differing points of view. Some will contribute much, some will contribute nothing at all. It is up to each one of us to either take in, or throw out certain posts, and then just move along. Not always going to agree with everything, and everyone, all the time. This will make it much more enjoyable. I have learned much from some that I disagreed with!! It made me look at another point of view. What I dislike most are the trolls, who only post for the attention they receive. Who add nothing to the group and clutter up topics of interest, with meaningless nonsense. Some will even seek negative attention just to get a response, because the response is still attention. This is the type I choose to ignore most of all. All just my opinion. Any similarities to members past or present, is totally coincidental.
  4. Yes sir, I know all about that, having lived in St. Augustine for a while. But I'll send you some 70s in July, for some 70s from you next week!!! Be cool if we could pull that off, wouldn't it!!! How's the fishing been down there over the winter??
  5. Hey......send some of that up this way !
  6. If you make a kill, with which one will you have the greatest satisfaction? That's the one to use. For myself, it would be the bow.
  7. Yes!!! That will be nice! Clocks jump ahead on Saturday night, so we'll have more daylight at the end of the day. Think we are all ready for spring at this point!
  8. Thanks! What is the date for the Capitol District one? And where is it being held? The WNY one will be hard as my grandson will be celebrating his birthday that weekend. But still a possibility, if no one from out there can make it? Would have to run it by Mrs grampy.
  9. I'm in for a judge, jerky boys! My meat is only average, or slightly below. But I do appreciate good meat! I've never participated in an official jerk off, but I'm always 'up' for a new adventure! Send me your meat!!!!
  10. I have a 20 yard square patch of crappyice along the side of my garage. Anytime I go out there for trash or anything else, it's like an accident waiting to happen!!! Took a spill out there last year. And I blamed that damned crappyice!!! Seems as if crappyice has been a BIG problem for many this winter!!!! What do do???? Maybe I need a vacation!
  11. Absolutely awesome work of art Matt. Don't kid yourself, you have so much talent it's crazy! Very few have what you have my friend!
  12. You go girl! You will be among the best hunters one day soon! Sharing it all with your Dad, will be the best part.
  13. Sorry to hear this. Prayers sent Alex.
  14. You do like walking the razor's edge.
  15. You can pay me when you see me again Josey Wales.
  16. "Ya gonna pull them pistols, or just whistle dixie"? Wonder if they'll cut that part out too................................ This is one of my all time favorite movies!
  17. I'd be happy to settle this dispute on who has the best jerky! Each of you send me a sample supply, for "testing". And I will declare who has the best meat, that can't be beat! But alas.....someone's meat will be beat.
  18. Here is a couple my grandfather used to say...... The tractor broke. But I "monkey'ed" with it for two hours, and got it working. (he was always "monkeying" with something) Good thing there's a lot of "smart" people around these days. Makes a "dumbass" like me, look pretty good sometimes! (he was sure right about that)
  19. Tonight................Beanies and Weenies!!!!!
  20. Likewise!! There are so many great people from this site I'd really like to meet. And some I'd really like to see again. Hope this GTG works out for a bunch of us.

    Pontoon boats

My buddy has a pontoon at his camp on the lake. To me they are kinda tough to fish from, if anything more than a slight breeze is blowing. And it's SLOW. But sooo nice to just kick back on, and drink beer from, as we laugh and tell stories! Each type of watercraft has one thing it does very well. If you will be mostly fishing, a fishing boat is the way to go. If you will mostly be slow cruising, and want to be relaxing with plenty of elbow room, a pontoon is hard to beat.
