I'm more of a bass caster. But you are welcome on mine anytime! Along with a few others on here!

Hey Rob, let me know how you like those Abu's. I was cleaning the snow off my boat cover this morning. Doing so, I muttered "won't be long now old girl"........
-
What about The Tin Rooster?
-
Nothing left to see there anyways. Let's just move along.

She is such a good girl. Added bonus of coming to visit is giving her ear scratches!!

You didn't yell at him in spanish did you?? Maybe he just no comprende.......... Happy it all worked out, and no one was injured. Was KiKi barking??

If you only "think" you know about something. You probably "don't".

Thoughts and prayers sent to you, and the young man's family and friends. May he find the peace he was so desperately seeking. It never was/is easy to grow up. Always harder for some than others, deciding which path to choose. Just seeing what my teenage grandsons do for school work and sports. And the pressures they are dealt, at an earlier, and earlier age, with all the varied influences out there, is down right scary. Love and communication is surely the key. But it's no guarantee anymore. Always need to stand vigilant, and willing to jump in at a moments notice when they need us. Was so much easier growing up for my age group.

Happy Birthday Mike!! All the best for you today my friend!

Oh yeah......this is gonna be awesome! Great idea wooly!

I was searching for a new turkey vest just last week, and this one definitely caught my eye. I really like the kickstand idea for a solid back rest! The three inch pad, and plenty of pockets would make this one a good choice I think! Comfort makes for a more enjoyable hunt. And for all you get, the price is reasonable too. This may be the one.

In my humble opinion, the Ruffed Grouse is one of the coolest critters roaming our woods. One of the tastiest too, though I rarely hunt them anymore. Preferring to just admire them. Not as many around now as in years past. I have had a couple close encounters with them too! But not for as long as the one Lawdwaz has! I remember the past posts for this. So cool! This is the kind of stuff I come here for!!! Thanks for keeping it real Larry.

You and the Mrs had a great time. Put some fresh meat in your freezer. Bloodied a new gun. What's not to like about that! Good for you!

Welcome home Larry. I'm gonna miss all those sunny and warm pic's. But not as much as you will, sending them! Hopefully we can meet up down there after I retire!

Who makes the Best $2000 rifles
grampy replied to Hunter007's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I actually enjoy walking with my rifle. And hell, who knows I might even actually shoot something that I'm hunting, betweem points A and B. Most 'REAL' hunters understand this concept. -
All of the above are good memories to me.

My wife may come, as she enjoys playing the slot machines once in awhile. (her thing, not mine) We probably would not stay overnight though. We'd drive home after most of the festivities.

Not too much pisses me off more than a drunk with beer muscles. Good that the situation was handled by cooler heads. I'll be 62 shortly. And I still have the attitude, where I'll take an ass kicking, before I'll back down. In my current condition, that is probably what will happen going against someone younger and stronger. But I'll still hold my ground, come what may. Like most, I've never been one to look for trouble, but won't run from it either. It's who I am. Can't change that, no matter how old I get. Anytime there is pounding on my door late at night, or something just isn't right, I'll have a firearm in my hand. That's why I have them. I'm in no way paranoid, just need to be prepared, to protect my family and property from the ever increasing riff raff that seems to be praying on folks now days. Happy the officer didn't over react. But you never know what, or who is on the other side of that door, in a situation like that. You need to always be prepared for the worse. And ready to stand down in an instant when you know it's safe. So happy it all worked out for you Dan.

Can't wait to see this one when it's done. Got a feeling I may have a new favorite! Your work amazes me. Be nice to see how you go about it!
