    1st Bird!

Congratulations! Very nice bird! If ever there is a good excuse for being late to work, this is it!
  2. Sweet bow! I feel your shoulder pain. Just had surgery done on my right shoulder and hoping to be ready for bow season this year. Good luck with the sale and your shoulder. You are close by. We should meet up some time!
  3. A double for you and your son! That is awesome!!!! Congratulations to you both! Great birds too! Nice job! Memories to last a life time, made this morning.
  4. That's so cool! I enjoyed hiking and backpacking in my younger years. Great fun. It looks beautiful there. And it's awesome she takes after her Dad's love of the outdoors.
  5. Wow, what a beautiful bird! Great story too! Congratulations buddy! I really have to give you huge props for your persistence and grit! Saw it during deer season too. Do you think if I walk down the street in a bunny suit, it will make me a better hunter? ....smile....
  6. Gotta say, you look like a Grizz! Your name fits you well!
  7. Happy New Bow Day!!! That is one awesome bow right there! And the one I'd choose if I were buying a new bow. Good luck and I'm sure, good shooting!
  8. Way to go Alex!! Nice gobbler! Congratulations! The bravery and quick action to save a life, is the mark of an outstanding young man! I'm sure family and friends are so proud!!
  9. Congratulations! Great story and gobbler! Way to go!
  10. There is no spring turkey hunting in Thatcher. I would try Partridge Run. It's much larger and holds a good population of turkeys.
  11. I'm living my turkey hunting through you today, my friend! You're having an action packed morning for sure!!!! Good luck! Got a feeling something is going to happen!
  12. Way to go Grizz! Congratulations!
  13. Jeff, congratulations on your first turkey! Great bird and nice job! Mowin, huge props to you! Taking out a new hunter, calling and everything you did was absolutely awesome! Great job! I've said it before, I'll say it again. There are some outstanding people on here!
  14. I love bow hunting and always will. But since I'm recovering from shoulder surgery, it would be nice to see this go through. One of the main reasons for having the surgery, was to be able to hunt bow season with my grandson. I may as well give up the ghost,if I can't be in the deer woods during bow season. This would give people like myself many more years of participation.
  15. Congratulations! Way to go! Awesome gobbler and picture!
  16. Multiple partial rotator cuff tares. Scaring with debris in the joint. Started all this in my teens after an auto accident dislocated both shoulders. Since then I've lost count on how many dislocations each shoulder has had. Doc says a minimum of 12 weeks before shooting bow. I'm hoping for 8, but will not push it if I don't feel ready. My bow is set at 53 pounds. Hope to shoot the rifle off the lead sled asap. Will go back to work after next week. Just for supervision duties. No students. Farm chores, and house chores, I got plenty of help. Will start PT next week. Then, after deer season, start all over again with the left shoulder!
  17. Heal up this shoulder. Get back to shooting my bow. Make at least four new natural ground blinds. Move a couple ladder stands. Trigger time on my new rifle. #1 thing this year, is to be with my grandson when he shoots his first deer!
  18. Thank you. To each and every one of you! It means alot to me. Surgery went really well! Had to do a little more than anticipated but got everything fixed and cleaned up in my right shoulder. Pain not too bad right now. Looking forward to shooting my bow, asap! Haven't been able to for awhile now. A little time and some PT and I'll be good as new! Will have the same surgery on the left shoulder after hunting season. I really appreciate all the kind words. And typing with my left hand is the real pain!!!
  19. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in these hardest of times. I have nothing to ease the pain you are feeling. Talk to him, he will hear. Let him know how much he's loved. Always hold him close in your heart, he will always be there for you. God bless.
