  1. That was a cool video! I always find it interesting, how certain properties have a traditional "Magic " day. Ours is 11-10. Best of luck to you guy's this year!
  2. Gone but never forgotten. To all the brave men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for this country, we thank you and remember you on this day. But it's "every" day that we reap the rewards of your sacrifice. The gifts of freedom that you gave us, are still the most precious gifts this world has ever known. Thank you for today, and every day, we live in freedom. Gone but never forgotten.
  3. I'll look forward to that Tom!
  4. Hands down, my Ithaca Deerslayer 2, with three inch slugs. It actually shot better groups with the two and three quarters, so was happy about that! Though it still thumped pretty good. Was so happy when we went to rifle four years ago! My 7mm/08 and 270 are barely noticeable in recoil compared to the slug guns I've shot.
  5. Legendary performer, and the Allman Brothers were a huge musical influence in my early years of guitar playing. Melissa has always been on my set list, as a solo performer. I've seen them play so many times. The one that stands out most, is in the mid eighties at JB Scott's in Albany. The Betts Band and Gregg's band played the same bill. After each played a set they combined and played for close to three hours! Gregg, Dickey Betts, Dan Toliver and Warren Haynes blew me away from just a few feet away. The absolute spectacle of musical talent being thrown back and forth on that stage, still brings jaw dropping amazement, from so many years ago. Rest In Peace Gregg. Thank you for so many memories made, while your music played.
  6. What a great, nice surprise! Now they will all know where to meet you when you drag out your next Pope and Young buck!!!
  7. I was flipping channels last winter, and caught this. My wife came in the room to see what I was laughing so loud about. We ended up watching together, laughing and shaking our heads. All I can say is I must have lived a sheltered life!.........lol Was also wondering if they would be doing a Pygmy story!.....grin...
  8. Thanks again everyone, and please excuse my last pity party post. I am normally a very positive, head down, move forward kinda guy. I need to focus more on how far I've come, not how far I have to go! That's what I'll do from here on! Stay positive and keep moving forward!!! By October, I want to challenge my buddy moog in arm rasslin! By then with all this PT, I'll have a Popeye arm!.........smile........
  9. Good old fashioned yankee ingenuity. Nice going!
  10. Nice job! The plane and your son look sooo cool!
  11. $1,000 tops. Carbs probably need cleaning after five years. Along with the broken trailer axle. Make sure the transom is solid!!! If not the boat is useless. Also check the steering cables. The old SeaNymph's are a pretty decent boat! But always be careful when buying a boat 30 plus years old, unless you know it's history. Is it an 18 footer?
  12. The Mrs. puts a flower basket on top for the summer. But the way he's going at it, there won't be much left when he's done! Wish wooly was here. He would have gotten much better pictures!
  13. A good looking pup there! Look at the size of those paws already! Wishing you many years of hunting and fun together!
  14. Just got a pic of this guy in the backyard. Cool birds for sure.x
  15. Update. Next week will be a month since surgery. PT again today. Still not much strength in my arm but can hold a coffee cup now! Even tossed a practice lure off the deck a couple days ago, though not very far....lol. Not much pain unless I try to use it or sleep on that side. I did pick up my bow and clip on the release, but that's as far as I've gotten with that. Still a ways off from shooting a rifle too. I'm a little discouraged, as I thought I would be a little farther along at this point. But the Doc and therapist say I'm doing great! And I've come a long way in just about a month. I'm just not a very patient, patient!!! But I'll continue to work hard and follow instructions, with the goal of hunting with my bow on October 1st.
  16. Looks like ya got a real nice set up for the chicks. Hope it all works out with the birds and the pup! Pretty cool!
  17. Good deal Mike! I still have a three split on my old bow, with an HHA sight, but I have a great sight picture with it. My grandsons bow has the two split on his, with the spot hogg and is a little harder to get a clear sight pic for me. But he shoots it really well. Guess it depends on your set up and personal preference. Next week will be a month since my shoulder surgery. PT again today. But pulling my bow seems a long way off right now. Getting a bit discouraged. Cause I want to shoot so bad!
  18. Wow! Summer must be a long four weeks up there!
  19. My grandson Zac! His team was invited to play two games an Saturday June 3rd, in Cooperstown, on Doubleday Field! Quite an honor to play on the same field as some of baseballs greats. Something he will always remember.
  20. That's pretty darn cool! How about having me over for coffee at about day break!
  21. Wooly is "THE" wildlife whisperer, for sure! That and a dang good woodsman, is the only explanation for all the wonderful shots, he shares with us!
  22. Another amazing contribution from wooly! It never gets old and just gets better! A big thumbs up my friend!!
  23. What needs to happen, for the Bill to be brought up for a Senate vote? Seems like this is dying in the same position as last year. Seems to still be a strong opposition, to seeing this go through. I see and understand the arguments on both sides of this. But feel inevitably, that this will come to pass, at some point in the future. But it doesn't look like it will be the near future.
  24. Way to go! Love that oak theme! Awesome! Hey, hope you feel better real soon my friend.
  25. The Jeanneney"s are known world wide for their tracking dogs. John was my mentor getting started many years ago. My buddy and partner Gary and his daughter Nikki, used some of the Jeaneney dogs last year and did really well with them. They don't have a "bad" bloodtracking dog, just really good and superstars! I was fortunate enough to be the dope on a rope, behind Sabina on a few tracking calls. And was the tracker, who tracked and shot the buck that gored Sabina and busted up John, some years ago. We have Xola ready to go for this year. This will be her second year, so looking for a big improvement over her "puppy" stage last year! We don't live too far from John and Jolanta. At some time, it would be great to meet up with you for coffee, and to share some tracking stories! What you and Luna have accomplished is truly impressive!!!
