Another boring and uninspired Super Bowl game. Best part of game day for me will be the pizza and wings.

Just because it never happened, doesn't mean it won't. It WILL happen at some point! Perhaps today?

Crossbows proposed in all seasons 2021
grampy replied to DoubleDose's topic in New York State Hunting News
I've been a bowhunter since the late 70s. The recurve I used to kill my first bow deer, looks nothing like the compound I shoot today. Yet in all these years, I have upgraded my equipment step by step, because it was easier, and better! Carbon arrows with Blazer fletching. Drop away rest. Fast cams. Peep sight, with fiber optic lighted pins. Cable slide. Centered riser with a slim grip. Bows sure have come a long way since I started! Why? I really don't give two spits what legal equipment other hunters use!!! It doesn't effect me in the least. Want to shoot a primitive bow? Nice! Want to shoot the newest technology compound? Nice! Want to use a "crossgun"? Nice! More power to ya! I will NEVER impose what "I do" on another hunter! I hope I never become that closed minded. Do your thing, let others do theirs. And just go hunt! Some good points in this proposed legislation. Will make some things "easier" and "better". I don't have a problem with that. Been doing it since the 70s!! -
Both Rodgers and Mahomes, will be shut down by defenses that step up BIG time today. That's my prediction, and I'm sticking to it! I like to think outside the analytical numbers. The games still are played by men with emotion! All the fancy numbers mean nothing! But...perhaps my prediction is based on emotion???

Looks a lot like one of my occasional late for work drives!

Way to go Cynthia! The more you shoot, the more you will build up your "bow muscles". These are the ones in your back, more than in your arms. And are not used much, for most normal activities. Once you build up the muscles, along with the ones in your arms, you will be able to increase your bow poundage. Just shoot- shoot- shoot!!!! I will be replacing my 60lb limbs with 50lb limbs soon. And will likely be shooting 45lbs this coming bow season. That is plenty enough to kill a deer! You should be fine to get to 40 to 45 lbs. Just keep at it, and you'll be good to go come October. Really nice bow you have too! You are going to live bow hunting!!!

Crossbows proposed in all seasons 2021
grampy replied to DoubleDose's topic in New York State Hunting News
The word "logical" and NYS politics, go together like oil and water. Or like having a crossbow lumped in with a muzzleloader. Just doesn't seem logical to me? No matter what your opinion is about crossbow. It should have included the bow course, for using one from the start. -
In the last couple of weeks, I probably dropped $40 between the Mega and PB. Got nothing to show for it. But in my mind, I was a multi millionaire until the numbers were drawn!!!! Was fun thinking of all the good things I'd do for friends, family and charity. So the $40 was cheap entertainment! Probably should have invested it in half a box of 22LR ammo though!

50/50 chance this goes through this year. DEC wants it. King Andy appears to want it. I think a lot of hunters want it. But this IS NYS....so who knows? -
At 63 The Duke was my biggest boyhood hero. No one stood taller. As I got a little older, it was the Clint Eastwood westerns and Dirty Harry, that I enjoyed most. Both are just awesome. No wrong answer to the OP's question.

Great bucks! And as always, your work is superb my friend!

Lots of em in Mendon! Took some home with me both times I hunted out there. -
Likely out next week too, if the Chiefs should move on. Due to concussion protocol.

Just like toilet paper, once the hoarders feel they have "enough" and the manufacturers step up production, eventually there will be more on the shelves. I'm stepping up my reloading, to include 223. But even reloading supplies have become hard to find. I love to shoot! And used to shoot pretty often. But I have been in conservation mode for awhile now. Any increase in manufacturing is welcome at this point.

We have a shark vacume, the kind you have to push yourself. It really sucks!

That's exactly how I run a bolt action too Dan.

I absolutely love 270's!!! And I'm all set up for reloading them too. Great price, and I even have a VXII that would fit it nicely. But I'm on the other side of the state. GLWS.

The light of our Lord shines brightly through Ana. And it will forever shine upon, and warm, those she loved. Also, the the countless people, who's lives she touched, that were warmed by her special light of God. She shares her light, and gifts from God unselfishly. I'm always here for you my brother. God's light shines through you too. God bless you all.

I love my Obsession bow!!! GLWS. -
What are your thoughts on placer gold deposits in NYS, left over from the last ice age, when the glaciers receded? Over the years, I've found a few small flakes of color in my pan. Mostly from cracks in the bedrock, on small streams.

Snow Plowing With An ATV
grampy replied to Lawdwaz's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
I had an 06 Honda Rancher that I used for plowing. Worked good on the light powdery stuff. But it blew the tranny while using it one night after a heavy wet snow. But......my driveway then, was about a hundred yards long, and double wide. One of the reasons I moved down off "the hill". And we are now considering downsizing to a townhouse or something similar. To not have to worry about snow removal at all. Especially if for some reason I'm no longer around, my wife will be set. -
Great video! My hat is off to those guys, especially to the guy doing the cutting! He took a big risk doing that! Hope the little buck made it?
