Can't begin to tell ya, how many times I've had to put down my smoke to kill a deer. But I highly advise not using that method for obvious reasons.

We got 34 inches nine days ago here. So I feel your pain, all you guys getting hammered in the lake effect areas. If they made a Subie that could tow my bass boat I'd get one! And I'm no lesbian. But I play one in the movies......

Always best to call a professional to come check out stuff like that Brian. And while they are there, they can do a thorough inspection and cleaning. We do this every other year.

Yikes! Be careful out there man! There is not a fish swimming, that is worth risking your life for!!! I'm the complete opposite. And usually one of the last to venture out on the ice. Once I see sleds and wheelers out there, I figure it "may" be safe enough to hold my fat azz! And then still carry much of the safety equipment you mentioned. I may catch a few less fish by waiting so long to get out there. But I do catch some........year after year after year. Cause I'm still around to do so!

I will look into that, thanks Dan. I find reading that old stuff fascinating. My father also had a complete set of hunting buttons, that I always admired. But his wife (not my mom) sold em all for peanuts.

Have already seen some dummies out on a couple of our local lakes. Was open water just over a week ago! I love ice fishing. But not enough to die for it, or to put someone else at risk.

My heartfelt prayers go out to Ana, you and the kids. I pray that she can come through this my friend. Thank you for posting. If your post saves one person from having to go through what your family is going through, it will be worth it. Not everyone who contacts Covid can just ride it out. Some with immune deficiencies will have a much tougher fight. I know it won't be good if I get it. But above that, I would be shattered if I unknowingly gave it to a loved one or friend. I will take the vaccine not for myself. But for others.

I'm a staff member at a large public school district. No idea when our turn will come to be vaccinated. But when it does I will get one. I think the risk of getting the vaccine, far outweighs the risk of getting Covid 19. First responders first!!! And Thank You!

I have five large totes for all my hunting gear. Everything is all washed, folded, organized, and put away. Trail cams are all down and in a big box, with batteries removed. I do have my predator hunting gear ready to go for after the holidays. All I have left to do is clean the Sako, and get the reloading bench ready to start making up my special recipes. I asked Santa for a chronograph, to help really dial in my reloads. And I've been a VERY good boy this year, so we'll see? So hopefully, one more thing to store and organize!!

I really enjoy watching this kid Mahomes play! A star on and off the field. Looks to be a HOF player at this point, in his young career. But hoping he has a bad game when they meet up with The Bills, in the playoffs!

Since following corydd7's much appreciated advice, I have not had one e-mail on my phone from HuntingNY!! Was getting about 150 a day! I will contact Cory prior to hunting season next year, in the hopes he can give me much needed advice on how to kill a deer! Thanks again sir!!!
