Welcome! Nice to have you join us! Partridge Run has a good population of deer. It's also large enough where you can find a good spot off the beaten path. You should already be scouting and looking for those out of the way places. Opening weekend, and Thanksgiving weekend will see the most hunters there. But it isn't over run, even on those weekends. At mid season, during the week, you'll find the fewest hunters. But the deer are still there! And some nice bucks as well. The Fawn lake area, will see the most hunting pressure. The steepness of the Ridge Road side, will keep most hunters away. Get the hint? Good luck out there!

Hard to tell from that pic, but I think it's a fisher.

Happy Birthday Eddie!!! Wishing you all the best! Today, and for the next year! 79!!! Awesome! You can reset your odometer next year!!

Correct. You do not have to check the camera. The pictures are sent to the Tactacam app on your phone. No need to pull the card to look at pics. But.....as of now there will be pic's on the card not sent to your phone. As the second pic in the burst is sent to your phone, the first is stored on the card. I've already gotten some pictures with nothing showing on them, that may have triggered the can. Could have been a fast moving deer or bird? But it is on the card. I understand, Tactacam is updating the software to fix this. Customer service is VERY good! You get a real person that is very helpful! For the money, my opinion is, you can't beat this camera. I bought mine through our resident trail cam expert phade. Not sure if he got anymore in stock after initially selling out? But shoot him a PM. Perhaps he can set you up too!

This cam takes nice pictures. Day and night. I'm very happy with these cams.

What a nice set up!!! (well except that Savage has the bolt on the wrong side).......hehehe. The fur is going to fly! I'll keep coming back to this thread for updates!

Beautiful. Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Lots of acorns already on the ground in our area of 4H. Last year was a banner year. But still quite a few around this year too. Lots of apples in the old homestead orchard as well. The total mast crop should be about average, or maybe a little bit above average here.

I just really like those old tractors. This one will likely give you many, many years of service. Post up more pics when you finish doing the upgrades. Have fun. It truly is a labor of love.

Were you able to get this hunt on film???

The "shoot what you like, like what you shoot" saying is mine. I say that to other hunters often enough. Too many times, I've heard hunters critical of others for shooting a doe or small bucks. Or making an excuse themselves, for not shooting a wall hanger. Why? That just isn't right! Every deer is a trophy, and something to be proud of. We all hunt for different reasons. Be proud of every deer you kill. If the deer isn't what you want, let it walk and wait for one that is. Or shoot the first legal deer you get a chance at, and put delicious venison in the freezer. There is no right or wrong deer to shoot. You decide for yourself. It's all good.

Welcome Norman! I'm from the other side of the state, so can't help much with this question. But if you have any others, be sure to ask them. Maybe I can help?

Congratulations! Nice bear and picture!

We too, sadly had to bow out of our Maine vacation, back in May. But will gleefully follow along here, with you and Jen! Your joy of being there transcends through your posts!! Thanks for sharing with us. Take it all in and enjoy!

Yes Tim! That is the one I was thinking of!! I remembered the thread, just not who did it??? Old age excuse........ You do beautiful work sir.

Wow Chef! So glad you are "OK"??..... Could have been so much worse! And thankfully, you took the time to put that harness on. And strapped to the tree. Also having someone with you to help, was another huge plus. I have to admit, that I rarely strap in while putting up a ladder stand. But I WILL from now on!!!! I sometimes hunt without a harness too. That won't happen again either. Thank you for posting this. It is probably the most helpful post in a long time. Feel better soon my friend.

I just set out two of these Tactacam Reveal cams today. Hopefully I'll get some pictures tonight? I have one on an oak ridge, where we've killed a number of nice bucks. The other is along a thick bedding area. Thanks! I was wondering how to do that.

John, if I remember correctly, you made that fine looking set! Came out awesome!

I'm not real familiar with the rules. Do you get points if you are the closest to the cornhole? Or only when you get it in the cornhole? I don't know, as I'm a horseshoe pitcher, not a cornholio.
-
There are now even Corn Hole Championships!!! Just imagine..... being Corn Hole World Champion!!!

What year was this bow made? Looks to be an older model. GLWS.

Late, will be better than not at all Biz.

Yanks losing streak up to seven now!!! That would be like around 20 games in a regular season? The Bombers are more like pop gun shooters right now. Relief Pitching is just killing them. Hope they turn it around and go on a run. The high expectations for this year, are slowly swirling down the crapper.

Why fix it if it ain't broke??? Seems to be a well balanced population of walleye there now.
