    I am considering asking the guy down the road if he will let me shoot a doe or two. There have been at least 10 deer hanging out there,sometimes over 20. Drives me crazy when i go by.

    I will try to get out today. Only one doe in the freezer,usually i take three. I hope to get closer to that number today....

    Headed out into the deer woods,just walking out my front door into the woods. Hope i get a doe today,that would make me feel pretty good. Only one in the freezer so far,looking for two more. Of course i wouldn't pass up a decent buck either,but they hide pretty well...

    Just had to come home from work for some tools. There are two groups of deer feeding 3/8 of a mile and 5/8 of a mile down the road from my house. The snow melted just enough to expose some greens underneath. Both are big groups,8 to 10 deer each.

    Look out buckmaster,you are developing nextbowitis to go along with nexthillitis.. I am in the market for a new/used one as well,but havent had a chance to shoot any yet.

    I hunt harder during bow and take gun season not very serious at all. It is easier to get the freezer filled during gun season,but i have no patience for sitting much by then. I have been out some,but i am pretty relaxed about it. I probably wont be when there is one or two days left during muzzle season and the one doe i have now is all i have then,lol.

    Time goes by with the same speed as always,we are just used to the routine and that makes it seem go faster. It is as with all a matter of perspective.

    Soo,my inner physicist thinks the problem is going from a warm environment to cold,and not the other way around. Cold generally means dry air,and warm air holds more moisture. So when the gun goes from the house to the outdoors is probably when shit( condensation) happens.

    Nice thing about muzzle season is the deer are almost back to normal behaviour by then.

    Great pics. I had one in my house several years ago we herded it into our living room so we could keep our dog and cat out and then tried to catch the flyer. That was pretty exciting,got to watch it climb up the window trim and sail across the room from there. Eventually we released it...

    I may go out this weekend,but probably just wait for muzzle season so i het a reset on my tags. I can't seem to find any bucks worth shooting,so hopefully two does will throw themselves on the sword for me.

    same here,i haven't seen much for bucks besides that one bruiser,and from what i hear someone shot him from vehicle this week. That is lame.

    Well,last night was fun. A doe snuck up on me from my 7 o'clock,i was on the ground and she was looking at me from 25 yds away. I have no doe tag,so no big deal. This was just at the end of legal light. I hung out a little longer and then fished out my headlamp for the walk back,and just where i had come out of the thick young pines an hour and a half earlier a deer bounded off. I couldn't see antlers or anything,but when i got to the spot it stank of buck to high heaven,stroooong smell. This will be the year of close encounters for me without scoring a buck i guess,saving it for next year. I will fill another doe tag or two during muzzle season i hope.
