erm, that sounds like something i tried when i was 19. I dont think i would like that scheme any better today. I will have to think on that.
-
Academy, wait, what? Pick me up on the way biz? Cooperstown isn't that far off your travel route,is it?

I hope we will both be able to harvest some deer with our new rigs. I will also get some lighted nocks for my hunting arrows so i can see where i hit the deer better. That lost me one deer last year i think,i thought i hit it better than i did. I thought lungs but i think it was liver in hindsight. I pushed it too early as well because i had seen a coyote not 15 mins before i shot the deer and that made me nervous.

here are some pictures. The bow shoots well,i have just started shooting last Friday. Hadn't touched a bow since November. The shots were at 27 to 33 yds,i am glad there is some room for improvement. I think i will head to a 3d shoot this Sunday in Gilbertsville. I am loving this bow though,we will be partners for a long time i think

Oh,i shot the bear cruzer. One of those super adjustable package deals. It was a starter bow and not worth restringing and getting a new whisker biscuit for it.
-
I finally took the plunge and bought a used bow off archery talk. It is a halon x pro,35" ATA and 7" brace height. It came with an adjustable grip and I have it maxed at 62#. What an upgrade this thing is from my previous set up,wow. I will post some pictures shortly. I got a drop away rest for it as well and I like it.

I got the exact same one and cooked my first meal on it yesterday!!

I almost went for a weber, but decided to get a char broil instead. Saved over $600. We will see how long this one lasts.

I don't even know what i am looking at fletch, wowzer. This thread is awesome as i am in the market for a new grill as well. I think i might have to go for a weber, and i use the side burner a lot. All seared fish gets cooked on that,no smelly house that way. I also think it seems like a lot of money for a weber, but generally you get what you pay for.

Heck yeah. I could not keep that supply in my fridge for long. Too much temptation...

Seems very unlikely to me that your septic line being pushed up would lift your toilet. Does the main line exit the house very close to that toilet? I would think the main line would flex enough to not move your toilet, even if it does heave up a tad. Also, there is a rubber sleeve you can install on the line, two hoseclamps on either end.

Say,was the karate her idea or yours? She will be able to kick any boys arse, haha.

I just wanted to make sure you were aware.

That is a short term solution and will kill you in the long term!

I shot arrows that were to stiff for my setup last year, and that alone will make an arrow fly funny even if everything is set up correctly. And i think moog is in the right area as far as spine numbers....

The worst.

germany is the size of ny and pa combined, and there's almost 90 mil people living there. So human population density has nothing to do with boar population.

I am talking about wild boar, not domestic pigs. A pig that escapes does not make a wild boar.

ok,season is done for me. I got the muzzle loader fixed and zeroed and went out,all i kept seeing was a tiny button buck. This season is the worst for me ever. I could go out tomorrow, but i am too frustrated. I can wait 10 months... One doe is not a lot of meat,oh well,i guess you have to have bad experiences to really appreciate the good. On that note, happy holidays to all and i will see you next year!!- 10374 replies

Dude,i doubt the settlers brought wild boars over with them, they are not easy to handle. I grew up in Germany, and the boars are out of control there. Nothing is working on reducing their numbers. Maybe the wolves conung back into germany will help. I gotta wonder where you get your information,or dont you?

I might have a mental problem,i lost three does this hunting season, more than my prior 7 seasons combined. That has to be some sort of sad record,i will do a serious re-evaluation of my equipment and skills before next year. I value not having my prey suffer, and that has not happened this year. This does make me appreciate how things have worked out in seasons prior. Not sure of i was just lucky or what happened this year.- 10374 replies

This season is the worst for me,i wounded another deer yesterday. When it rains it pours. Tracked it over three different properties until i got to one i can't track on. I jumped her once,no shot. Worst season ever, aside from my first where i got nothing, but at least i didn't hurt anything besides my ego either then. I might go out Monday or Tuesday,or maybe quit while i am behind.- 10374 replies

That, and what are you doing on the pile in the first place? There has to be a better spot to sit. I buy logs for my firewood and have to roll them of the pile to cut them up,and the power of a rolling log is scary. I always stand of the end of the pile, but man it is scary when one takes off.
