Looks gorgeous! Hope everything works out!

Ugh, I was out a lot Saturday and Sunday working in the woods, and the past two nights after work. I haven't even thought about checking for ticks yet. I will now!

Looking for info. I've been with Griffith Energy (now Superior) for a little over 10 years. They have always been on the higher end of the spectrum of price range, but service has been fine. The last couple of years they have been increasing to the point that I wonder if it qualifies as price gouging. Came home the other day and saw where they had filled my tank. Bill was $620!!! This is a new all time high for me, and I was just filled 6 weeks ago. I burn a lot of wood on the weekends so this was predominantly only Monday to Friday use. We also have a setback thermostat (Nest) in which I have it set to go down to 60 at night, and also during the day. It only goes to 68 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm and again from 4:30am to 6:00am. House is modern and tight. So it's certainly not usage, but per gallon cost. I'm being charged $3.45/gal and get a HAZMAT charge that adds another .06/gallon. Spot checking the NYSERDA propane pricing surveys from Central New York, it's averaging $2.75 currently. I called around and found a local provider that will give me an introductory price of $2.00/gal and says they are currently charging existing customers only $2.08/gal. And no HAZMAT fees. So, to the propane burners out there, what are y'all paying per gallon these days? ps. last year I called and complained for the same reason and they credited me so much that it wiped out my bill for the latest charge and still had $40 credit left over.

I'm a coffee-o-holic, and sip it all day. Dunkin is my go to. For store bought, I like eight o clock original brand. Coffee pot at home, Kuerig sits next to it, and have an espresso maker that I haven't used in forever. Just a bit of cream, never black, and no sweeteners like sugar or flavored cream.

Apparently the DEC wants more in the whole DMU. Odds for the past 5-ish years have been low for first choice and none for second choice. None for out of staters for 5-10 years I think. Which is too bad for us as 50% of our group is from out of state. We do get the one lonely landowner’s permit however..

I kind of like this thing, but as a target range novelty. Although the height of that sight compared to the barrel has got to give some serious parallax error. Looks awkward as heck if used for hunting.

Sounds bad, prayers for a full recovery! He’ll be happy to see the plot!
-
So sorry to hear that. Do they expect a good recovery?

That's a couple of painful choices to pick from. But I think I'll go with the week long thing over a stomach bug. I don't do stomach bugs very well at all.

Nice day for a walk to clear the head

Happy Birthday Dan!

Exactly!

Umm, just read it. I don't see anything except for where he complimented you.

Gun owners in NYS couldn't even be bothered to get to the polls two elections in a row to vote against Cuomo and the Democratic anti-gun legislation in New York that is banning things left and right, like death by a thousand cuts. I'm pretty sure nobody is going to start slinging lead against a gun ban. Won't happen. Which war started in the last federal ban against AR-15's?

My wife keeps some chickens for a hobby. Not solely to produce eggs or meat per say, more like pets or a pet flock. I'm going to put the bug in her ear to maybe keep a turkey or two. Easy for me to say - she does all the work to keep up with it.

Coming home from work last evening we were held up by a gobbler road block. Watched them strut and fan for a minute before we could get around them. Turned out to be escaped domestics from a nearby home, but still got my blood pumping! Were acting just like wild turkeys.

Happy early birthday!

It's a crummy phone pic through my dirty windshield that I took on the way home last night, but this is a field that I border two sides of. It was corn that was cut in December. 61 deer in that larger field and more on the other side of the hedgerow. Went a little past the house to look at another field and saw 32 more. 93 total within a half mile of the house (and I didn't count those to the right of the hedgerow). Our tower stand is in the hedgerow. It's amazing that the land can support so many! And all the deer I've seen up close look very healthy this year.

Proud hick Bills fan here - present and accounted for! I believe that the Bills play the Giants this season in New Jersey. Looking forward to a road win smackdown.

That makes sense. Wasn't remembering the heavy rifle opening day snow.

Congratulations!

It's better to have a gun and not need it, then to need one and not have it. You can substitute gun with a lot of things and the saying still works. Side chick, condom, etc, etc...
