I've owned them all. Currently drive a Tundra, will never buy anything different again. 10 years old. 140,000 miles. No rust (well, one little bubble on the tailgate), only changed brakes, tires, battery (2X). Looks good, drives good, and never let me down. Can't say that about any of the others. I'd consider Ford a close second place though.

Bands/singers you tend to turn volume up on radio

Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, UFO, Pantera, FFDP, Black Label Society, Black Sabbath, King's X, and... You know, it's probably a shorter list of what gets the volume turned down on! -
Nice buck! Is this in New York?

I'm going to disagree with the OP's premise. There's a ton of activity in this forum compared to many other forums on the internet. I see (and sometimes participate in) the threads that get a little testy, but that's got to be 1% of the total posts. Debate is healthy, and disagreements aren't bad, everyone has different thought, styles, and principles. That keeps it interesting and I always try to learn from different viewpoints. And for the 1% of the posts that go off the rails? Well, I do enjoy some popcorn occasionally. All in all, a pretty decent forum, with a pretty decent membership!

Simple pleasures in life - free dirt!
Steuben Jerry replied to Steuben Jerry's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Hah, I was going to take a pic with the quad on top, but it felt a little squirrely! -
I got on the list with my local town highway department to receive free fill dirt when they are doing excavation work in the area. Yesterday they dropped off about 40-50 tons of it in my side driveway. Whoo-hoo! I've got many places I can use the fill, trail/road maintenance through the property to start with, and more available when I get this moved. I guess I've changed. I used to get excited over a pretty girl or my favorite band coming to town. Now it just takes a big old pile of dirt!

Would deer be put off by caged dogs barking 24/7?

Lol, he is actually the same size as our cat! But he's got a big personality! -

Our little Maltese barks up a storm when he sees deer in the back yard. The deer could care less. -
I Got Bit...ignorant dog owners are out there

X2, as long as they had a good liability policy to pay me off. Greg, glad you're mostly OK! -
Just watched the video. I'm thinking that would be fun with a rimfire and a couple of boxes of maxi-mags..

I haven't seen any triples this year, but there seems to be the usual amount of sightings. 8T

TF, We did the same thing for each of our daughters. Unfortunately that was two houses ago and the new owners took them out shortly after they purchased the property. That's a real good looking tree!

Why Does No One Care About This?
Steuben Jerry replied to DirtTime's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
From some reason this hit me personally and I don't know why. I didn't know him, nor have I even been close to any similar circumstances ever. I guess it's just because I've got kids and I sympathize with the family. Philo asks a good question. I certainly don't want a war over it. Lobbing a few cruise missiles inbound like we do from time to time would probably start one. But damn, that kid performed what would probably be considered a prank in the normal world, and was murdered for it. He was certainly naïve about the consequences and I know that it's SOP in North Korea for their people to treat their own people like vermin, but a US citizen was taken into custody, kept hidden from his family, most likely tortured to death, and his almost dead body was sent home. Not for any compassionate act, rather so he didn't actually expire on their soil. Somehow, someway there needs to be accountability. This is truly a tough situation. -

I thought it looked like the occasional shots I get of our cat. Except my camera placement is way better!
