  1. Just had free work lunch too, chicken, pulled pork, salt taters, Mac and cheese. But dunno if it was free. Was 5 hours of meetings .
  2. Biz can flip the boat over and it can be his little crashpad for him and those buffalo amish girls when he comes up to visit. And now that he has announced those tues night appearances it should be well used once the groupies start to appear. seriously though this boat is bothering me and its such a good deal. If I didnt have one it would be mine. Hell I even offered to front the money for a buddy of mine but he just rolled away a week ago with my 12ft I sold to him.
  3. wide rack ! nice job on the mount! Nice looking wall there - you have a good interior decorator!
  4. I called my guy to give him my cell number since I canceled my home phone and he is still in Florida. But he told me prob June when I dropped it off. Def looking forward to it too. My first mount. Well deer anyway. I also went with a semi sneak but no turn. It's going on a middle wall in living room so thought that pose would work best. Deer was looking away from me when I shot him so didn't go with that pose. Lol.
  5. try them out! My nephew got me hooked on them. I run them on a 7ft light action with 4lb test. Real small but have caught 20" trout on them! And you dont cry if you loose one cause they arent $5 a shot. They come in lots of colors - I prefer the gold, but grasshopper is also good.
  6. Yeah i was thinking that myself - i fly fish on occasion but usually spin for trout cause of that reason. I find there are more flies in the trees than the water! esp on those little streams. Although my roll cast is better than my back cast I still live in the bushes. This is about all i use now on the small streams these days
  7. Should be a good day for the streams! I have a meeting in cortland tomorrow and was thinking about fishing my way back. Torn on that or get home and get some chores done before turks and eyes seasons open up. Gonna be hard to drive by some of those streams and not drop a line. Good luck guys , def ought to be a hatch today.
  8. i think that tree in front of the cam looks like a good spot for a new tree stand!
  9. The stickbait is a reef runner and the other looks like a Cordell. Nice job outa you for putting in time and cleaning up others messes. Hate when people litter all over.
  10. Shrooms, Italian beans and venison steak. Tried this Sam Adams porch rocker.... excellent! I don't care for the summer ale. This is really good. Gonna have to stock up.
  11. Looking good for that new dirt to hunt. And its 76 acres and not 48 ! So gonna have to scout and cam new hunting spot and planning on putting in 2 stands. Hoping this works out and he closes on the property. He only wants to allow bow/crossbow hunting there which is fine by me for sure, thats usually when i do my best work. And 3 out of 4 places i will hunt are for bow or muzzleloader only. Boat launch fee is paid for the year as of today. New boat launch spot which is about 250 yards from the house and they give you access to another one 2 miles down the road that is closer to where i usually fish. And fishing buddy Corey now has weekends off and has already called shotgun every weekend on the ARC ! And of course I still have a list of to do's on regular hunting spots. Work to do ..but good work! This weekend has to be last big push of get er done stuff around the house cause starting next week the Turks and the Eyes are going to be getting some quality time.
  12. Before I bought a turkey shotgun about 5 years ago I had an old mossberg 500 with slug and bird barrels. It was my first shotgun and def took some deer with it out to 90 yards with open sights . But the bird barrel...lol. I missed two turkeys twice with it and went to the range to figure it out. After patterning it...I guess you could call it that. I killed a few turkeys with it. When aiming..put the bead on the turkey then go a foot high and a foot left and he was dead! Lol yeah I needed a new shotgun Now I have one with fiber optic sights and that seems to work well. And can aim right at it like your supposed to.
  13. Lol. Sounds like a teen group talking about the dance coming up. Funny how much us old guys text now. I always get a kick out of getting texts from some older buddies of mine that are like 70+. But damn it is handy as hell to have texting. Too hard to catch people by phone nowadays. So I am guessing the texts were prob about what you are all are wearing to the academy.....don't mix realtree and mossy oak....the cool kids will make fun of you.
  14. Trying to talk my buddy into buying it anyway. My little boat is great but it's a 12 ft with a 4 hp. This would be better for the lake for him. Although he loves to fish the canal and fish Creek. But he could do both with this.
  15. That is a sweet rig and a damn great price. My buddy just bought my little boat or I would've claimed this for him. Was worried you were bailing on boats but glad to see your not but are upgrading.
  16. You guys are big time! Now you don't have to carry your bow to pull arrows for those 75 yard shots. Nice.
  17. Just understand that if those were stolen, and theres a good chance they were, you can be nailed for buying stolen property. Certainly a nice bunch of stuff but your taking a risk.
  18. Omelette with some fresh asperagus and swiss. Venison sage sausage.
  19. Ok actually this.... Grilled herb chicken sandwich with guacamole and slaw.
  20. Your just shopping for waterfront. Sounds like a good plan to me!
