    awesome - always fun to try out new dirt. Good luck - hope its a winner! got a friend that might be closing on 48 acres this year myself and will have a new patch to try. Figuring out the puzzle is the best part.

    it is hard to find the tree ladder stands with the solid metal seats anymore. Only one place i can find them all the rest are mesh. And just like wicker--- mesh is also not my friend. Even if you bring them in they arent going to last as long as a steel seat. I have two in my cart right now to order.

    not sure just got an email on it in March https://www.dec.ny.gov/press/116481.html But after all this rain if we get a friday night its not pouring gonna go for it!

    we have a burn ban still in place in our area. But this weekend is a washout anyway but really wanted to have a fire Friday night and grill out. So much for that .

    You sure do a lot of work on your property Gman. But I would think it's prob as enjoyable as the hunting is. Nice plan and apple pies to boot!

    My fishing buddy Corey just had a work schedule change and is now off every weekend. Gonna be some serious fishing to be done!

    i havent been seeing any groups out in field or strutters yet. Havent seen many turkeys at all. In March was seeing them quite often last two weeks nothing.

    congrats def an awesome draw. Saw a hunting show with Buckcommanders and one of the guys was doing this. He was sitting on the edge of some trees and waiting for the herd to come by on his left and camera guy says look to the right and there was a mountain lion looking at those bison too about 15 yards from him. cool hunt for sure - good luck and start a thread about the hunt when you go - would sure love to follow along !

    I have seen deer so small in the fall when hunting they could walk right under a fence without its back touching. Wouldn't think it would grow much in the winter and have seen some small 1.5 yr olds too. Prob just a late bloomer

    Mostly because of what I do for a living I really dislike winter more and more every year. Jan and Feb are tough long days and have often thought that in the south one inch of snow and the place shuts down and nothing to worry about might be a nice option. But I always grind thru it. I enjoy the early spring cause it's time to reset and get ready and enjoy getting outdoor projects done. Then into fishing season which usually stays good to August and then it's time to switch gears and prepare for the fall seasons.

    Def can't beat that! Official daylight Oct 1 is 6:52. I set my alarm to check this site at 7 to see pics of your buck. Lol it was almost that quick last year.....bound to happen again! I am at least rooting for you.

    Home sick today.....took some of my maxed out 450 hours of sick time. Haven't had a cold in three years and this is making up for it. But was watching cooking shows and they took 3 ounces of bacon grease poured it into a decanter of bourbon and let it set for 6 hours. Then put it in an ice bath for a few minutes and cleaned out all the fat off the top and made smokey bacon bourbon. Interesting.

    Same here. Always suspected yotes carry them off for chew bones. I'm guessing in your case they are in the same triangle as those damn turkeys Moog!

    Can't imagine seeing a 700 pound bear. My hunting buddy would never hunt again, he would be gone. Lol. Gonna give it a try early season in sept in the dack foothills for a day or two , but hoping for a 250 pound. Or even just to see one.

    I had that problem for a while too and downloaded a reduce pic size app. Used that for a while and it worked fine. Damn nice nice buck there. One of a lifetime. Congrats. I have my first mount coming this year and you and Moho are making me pace cause you got yours back! Lol.
