  1. all i can say is ......... self driving cars are coming! Been a defensive driving instructor for about 20 years. Ive had people ask me if they have to stop for a flashing red light. I tell them only if they can get thru the light when its not on! lol Subaru has a car out now that has a sensor that tells you when you take your eyes off the road for too long. As we all know people on the road everyday are just terrible drivers! You have one good day and pass your road test and never get tested again or get updates on new laws etc.....I know some road test instructors and they have told me some crazy stories. Wonder why they are always in a bad mood..... ride around with a bunch of 17 year olds that dont have a license yet all day. One guy told me how a kid panicked on a RR crossing when the lights came on and stopped on the tracks. He had his hand on the door handle ready to bail and finally as hes yelling at the kid to go he floors it and squeals off the tracks. Or when a girl was driving and a parked car door opened and she went across the yellow line and hit a crane in a construction site. The crane had a steel beam on it and it started swinging through the site and people were running everywhere..... yeah. But unless the lights on the tracks didnt happen to come on right then, or that door open right, then they prob would have passed their test and been on the road.
  2. nice and i love your thoughts on interior design! A bear would make it all come together ! lol I am waiting on a my deer mount to go with my Northern pike and trout !
  3. i wouldnt do the decoy in front of me like this but thought this was amazing.
  4. that would be a cool to see . Would guess they prob have some color variations to them. Have seen some fairly dark grays but not one like that. Would be cool if you could trail cam that area
  5. im thinking of a coating of that smokey maple Nunda mustard might be good too.
  6. that looks great ! have a chicken in the brine to smoke this weekend, while doing chores. Gonna be a work weekend to get stuff done before the fun stuff begins! Cause once the boat hits the water nice weekend days tend to lean towards fishing! that looks like it came out perfect! did you use a brine of any kind? I bought a chicken bbq brine i havent tried before Chiavatta's from wny.
  7. Went on an early season Adirondack bear hunt two years ago. Buddy of mine said he was bringing in his dad's old 300 savage. When we met there that night after dinner I said let's see that old savage. He opened the case and was just staring. I say " I thought the 300 savage was a lever action?". Yeah he had a .22. He grabbed the wrong gun case when packing and brought a .22 on a bear hunt. Laughed our asses off. I went to the range today too and was playing with some different brands of ammo in a rifle and walked away about the same as you guys did. Couldn't decide if one was better than another.
  8. Eff this! Ground was bare yesterday
  9. we got 11" last night . Forecast was for 2-3
  10. Fish fry! Oneida Lake walleye and perch. Gotta make room for this season! Too cold and windy and rainy to play outside so cooking it is.
  11. Happy birthday!! Hope it's a big day!
  12. My fishing buddy picked up his new to him truck Wed and check engine light on by Friday . Lol Looks like a beauty truck Rob. Hope it's a winner for all u went thru to get it. Nice rig
  13. Been working outdoors most of the day in between rains. But a nice warm day at last.. so chicken on the grill and a simple caeser pasta salad.
  14. I got the tangy, smokey maple and horseradish. Def some good stuff thanks for the recommendation. I'm gonna try the maple as a glaze on some stuff for the grill and as a dip for some smoked sausage. Only opened the tangy and that was great.
  15. No date night with the GF tonite so venison hotdogs cowboy style with tangy Nunda mustard.
  16. hope you do this - would cert be epic. While your there - have to do some dove hunting and trout fishing in Patagonia! (after dropping the Stag) have a buddy that went there on a Dove hunt - they shot pallets of shells and piles of doves. He said there are so many its like clouds of them going by and it was amazing. But he said they couldnt bring any of the meat home for any of the hunts which would be disappointing to me. Funny story he told me about the trip - getting the guns in out of the country. They spent three extra hours at the airport to get them from the airport in Argentina. They had an envoy there from the US that helps tourists out at the airport. He asked her if there was anyway to speed that up for the return trip . She asked if he had $20 and he said yes and they took them and the guns to the front to be checked in and it took 20 minutes LOL - HE said "i wouldve paid $100" . But if he went again he would rent guns that they have at the lodge to avoid the PITA . while they were hunting doves they each had a guy that would retrieve them . They called him the bird boy! But he said he was one of the best part of the trips cause he was such a nice guy and funny as hell.
  17. Remember years ago when we were told we had to get away from paper bags to save the forrest, now we have to use paper bags to save the forrest! Lol I'm just gonna use a wheelbarrow
  18. That's def not making anyone happy. Would be a huge mess. I'm pretty sure everyone would be angry. Honestly wish they would just leave the seasons alone. We have it really good. Only exception I would like to see is xbow allowed for medical reasons in bow season.
  19. No way a store is doing that. Esp a Wal-Mart. Been hoarding them for a while. Need them for fish guts! Lol
  20. I went as a guest to a hunting camp many years ago when i was a teenager. For breakfast it was bloody Marys and for lunch the guys were pounding manhattans. Yeah me and another guy went fishing in the opposite direction and left the next morn. All nice guys but drinking and hunting is no good for sure. This law makes sense but dont see any real impact to it. Anyone ever heard of anyone being arrested for this? Its prob not something that people will be checked for unless a complaint comes in and more of a liability law if something terrible does happen. But someone drinking and hunting already isnt going to hold back if the law went from .10 to .08. Make it zero and then maybe.
  21. Do some research on what invoice price is then make an offer knowing they have to make something off it. But not pay for their kids college fund. Never tell them you have a trade in or tell them what payment you are looking for. When you tell them you have a trade in they offer you such a great trade in for your vehicle - no they were gonna come down on the price but just put it on your trade in amount instead, to make it look so good. They plan on making money off both vehicles. And if they ask about what payment you are looking for, tell them you aren't looking for a payment amount your looking for a fair deal. Like Fletch said I come up with an amount and make the offer. If it's fair and they are making something they will call back. Amount of sales every month is also important for a dealership to hit its sales goals. Come up with the amount you would pay for vehicle and then tell them you also decided you have a trade in. And do a blue book trade in value for your vehicle. They won't take a deal if they can't make something off it which is understandable. But most people pay thousands more than they should for a vehicle.
  22. I find if you open up with "im a taxpayer and i pay your salary" is always a winner! lol
