  1. My son (and I) are looking for a small used enclosed trailer to be used for storing and transporting goose and duck decoys. A single axle aluminum trailer would suit our needs. I have some feelers out for one and figured I would post on here in the event someone has one near us for sale. We live in the Auburn area and do not want to travel far for one. I have been checking Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace for one but cannot find one nearby that we would be interested in. PM me if you have any offers. valoroutdoors.com
  2. Zippo makes one that is almost identical to yours. The attached video link shows you how to light it. Be sure the metal wick is glowing red hot before you put the top on. valoroutdoors.com https://www.zippo.com/pages/how-to-ignite-your-zippo-hand-warmer
  3. My late father used them for ice fishing and duck hunting. I inherited them from him. They do get very hot and will burn all day plus when full of fuel. Use a quality fuel like Zippo lighter fluid to cut down on some of the smell. If you put one inside a hardwarmer muff it will get so hot inside that you don't want to grab it if you reach in with your bare hands. They get much hotter than the chemical handwarmers so be cautious. valoroutdoors.com
  4. The way to get maximum years out of your atv battery is to keep it on a battery tender Jr. when it is not in use. In addition to getting long life out of your battery you will always have a fully charged battery everytime you start up. I got 7 years out of my last battery and only changed it to be safe. valoroutdoors.com. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Deltran-Battery-Tender-Junior-12V-750mA-Charger/15779492
  5. When I was a young boy (many years ago) my dad took me rabbit hunting with our beagle. I got hooked the first time out. I have owned beagles ever since. I hunt deer, turkey, ducks, geese, and rabbits. Rabbit hunting with my 3 beagles I have now still remains one of my most enjoyable types of hunting. In addition cottontail rabbits make terrific table fare. valoroutdoors.com
  6. Here is a link that might help you out. Some of the reasons listed may apply to you. valoroutdoors.com. https://www.copperriverbags.com/blog/7-good-reasons-to-carry-a-concealed-gun/
  7. This is a scam. I have read about this from people who have been scammed. If it's too good to be true then it's not true. Beware. See this warning from Muck Boots. valoroutdoors.com. https://www.muckbootcompany.com/pages/shop-safe/
  8. From valoroutdoors.com to you and your family.
  9. Went out this morning for a late season Canada goose hunt. I hunt in the West Central section where the limit is only 1 bird a day. Set out some decoys in the field and 15 minutes later 9 birds came in and 8 left. Saw hundreds of birds on the way out. Yeah 1 bird isn't anything to brag about but I can honestly say I shot a limit! valoroutdoors.com
  10. Wishing everyone a safe and healthy New Year 2022. valoroutdoors.com
  11. I saw this on Fox News last night and it made me sick to my stomach. I have owned beagles since I was a young boy and currently have 3 beagles. I am no fan of PETA but I'm on their side on this issue. This is so sad and disgusting! valoroutdoors.com. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.foxnews.com/media/national-institutes-health-beagles-experiments-peta.amp
  12. Based upon what you relayed and my personal experience it was one of 2 things that occurred. First could be that the powder was compromised through moisture. It doesn't need to be clumped to be compromised. Second it could be the primer was not strong enough to ignite the charge. I have attached a link from the manufacturer for you about misfires with Blackhorn 209 and what to check for. I hope this helps you. valoroutdoors.com. https://blackhorn209.com/specs/ignition-guidelines/
  13. This link should help her out. valoroutdoors.com http://www.bestcrossbowsource.com/choose-crossbow-crossbow-sources-beginner-guide/
  14. Merry Christmas to everyone! valoroutdoors.com

  16. There are also different types of non toxic shot such as bismuth and tungsten. Toxic shot is lead shot or any combination of shot containing some lead shot. valoroutdoors.com
  17. That's great that he got it back and got it to you. Very few people would be so considerate. Do not forget to get him a Christmas present this week. He surely deserves a nice one. valoroutdoors.com
  18. My son and I have been using Panasonic Eneloop AA rechargeable batteries for years in our trail cameras and we now run them in our Tactacam Reveal cellular cams with excellent results. They hold a charge for a long time and function well in cold weather. When they get low you just recharge them. Just buy 2 sets for each camera and swap them out when they get low. We buy them in bulk on Amazon and I highly recommend them. valoroutdoors.com
  19. I still like to hear this every Christmas season. valoroutdoors.com
  20. Over the years I have purchased 2-3 foot pine trees from, of all places, ebay. There are several nurseries that sell them on ebay. They ship them wet root wrapped in plastic. Check the seller's feedback before you buy them for a good seller. I have purchased mainly norway spruce and eastern white pine and have had excellent results transplanting them. But beware when they get to a beautiful 4-6 feet tall the bucks love to rub them and will kill them unless you fence them in. Good luck. valoroutdoors.com
  21. You must be very proud of her. Congratulations! valoroutdoors.com
  22. This is inexcusable plain and simple. The "shooter" broke the Cardinal rule to be 100% sure of your target and what is beyond. In addition to losing his hunting license the shooter faces possible criminal charges for his reckless action. valoroutdoors.com
