  1. How do you know he was a guy? LOL
  2. Congrats! Yuk on the rare red meat though, LOL.
  3. My view from the stand this evening. Sitting in the dark hearing racks smashing together till 8:09. Kinda sends chills down ones back, LOL.
  4. Picking up cider apples, I suddenly became surrounded by deer coming out of the woods. Wind and all. Best one was a shooter. Like he knew he couldn't be arrowed. Showers starting now.
  5. My omelet was a little well done. Other than that, breakfast in the stand was pretty much flawless.
  6. You're all winners, in my book if your out there hunting.
  7. Made the switch to Blackhorn powder last year on the advise of several forum members here and never looked back. It's a hotter charge, more accurate, cleaner burning with less smoke. Bought at the nearest Cabelas.
  8. This was my sons first buck on a junior license opening day, firearms 2000. I never heard 4 shells pump through a 20 gauge shotgun so fast in my life, LOL. It was the evening people were stranded on the 90 near Buffalo in a lake effect snow storm. It also dressed at 217 lbs..
  9. A wife is like a good bowl of soup; it all looks chunky, until you get a stirring, LOL.
  10. I can accept the weather, rain or shine. This doe only rule shoved down the hunters throats, I'll never accept!
  11. I use to think hunters and their families were the key to keeping the sport alive. Maybe in big hunter states, this still lies true. New York on the other hand, it's becoming more about the revenue generated. The big winner in this state are who donates money in campaign funds. I could see hunting end in this state, if the big money quit flowing in.
  12. From the pics posted and from what you've said, it sounds like a it all come together rather nicely. Be nice to see pics of the final product. Hope you have successful year out of it. Good luck!
  13. Oats beside acorns are the big sellers here. Apples are rotten under the trees, their's so many.
  14. Them black bandits like tree stand sitting also. Makes a good cover scent, LOL.
  15. We have a few soys being combined over the weekend. The grain corn is still drying down. Silage corn been in the bunks. Oats and acorns are big sellers here, right now. Hunt that wheat field, if you can. It will be a big hit, after everything else dries back.
