  1. I had ab17.5 foot sylvan pro fisherman. Bought it used for 5k. Had a 48hp Johnson utility 2 stroke. With 2 people and fishing equipment I would get up to 38mph . With downriggers down just bumping it into gear I could get down to 1.5 mph. Perfect speed for trolling sutton spoons for lakers. If the fish wanted slower I would fish into the wind . With all this talk of boats makes me miss mine .
  2. New is nice .... I can appreciate that .. like I said I have nothing in this . Saving 10k leave alot of room for fishing equipment upgrades. Down riggers, fish hawk auto troll planer boards / mast. Rods, lures etc.
  3. https://buffalo.craigslist.org/boa/d/buffalo-2011-lowe-fishing-boat-many/7255110016.html Was just looking after reading post. Have no interest or ties to this. Just letting you know it's there.
  4. I only use steel. All the scopes I have mounted in the last few years have been mounted with weaver grand slams. They have held up to some pretty stout loads from my handguns.. shotguns .. and rifles . In the end the weak point will be the screws in the base or metal in the receiver.
  5. A lab from a reputable breeder .. that really hunts. Not a show person trying to make the dog seem to come from hunting stock . Look at the pictures of past hunts.. meet both the parents. If they are from hunting stock there will be lots of pictures.
  6. I always hated Bruce Derns characters after watching the cowboys. Just about every movie he played in as I recall he was a bad guy .
  7. I have a large collection of John Wayne movies on cd . I watched McClintock the other night and Cahill.
  8. Beautiful stream ... nice steelhead... I fished fingerlakes tribs this morning nothing to show for it.
  9. I'm not an hvac guy but I do work on some belt heaters and salamander heaters and such at work . The loose wire could be a thermacouple. It reads temp on the pilot or igniter. When up to proper temp it tells burner to ignite. They can become fouled and not let burner ignite. A dirty burner may not burn properly causing it to shut down. I will not work on my home furnace as I'm not an expert. I gladly pay for peace of mind.
  10. We get off the fingerlakes pretty good some years north eastern hit us the hardest .
  11. Keep it over there please. Had a pretty good melt after the 2 foot dumping last week. 3 inches or so of rain last couple of days flooding in area's. Creek behind the house stayed in its banks thankfully. Have to put all the irons back in the basement. Return reloading stuff as well. I known if I ever move again there will not be a creek within 1000 yds of my house unless I'm 500 feet above it.
  12. My granddaughter likes the movie watching the movie as we speak...
  13. Love the movie I have a leg lamp ornament a coffee mug and the movie on cd. When the kids are here it's on. They play it on TBS 24 hours. I use to use it to drive the kids into their bedrooms for some peace and quiet. Now I use it to make them go home .... lol .
  14. I'm not a bills fan ...GO VIKINGS!! But I think its cool congrats to him.
  15. Did they put a seat safety switch on it ?
  16. As blinds were covered in snow I have them air drying ... one on the right is primos ground max .. has been going for 10 years now . Other 2 are rhino blinds . Repaired one leg that pulled out of a hub do to snow crushing them on the rhino cleaned 3 guns and muzzleloader . 2 loads of hunting clothes in wash. I should be done by Saturday I guess.
  17. While I like it the wife said hell no!
  18. Went of for last time 2020 . 3 feet of snow on the end of my drive . Muck boots rain gear light weight hunting pants and shirt. 2 feet of snow most places . Got to my first blind collapsed from snow . Cleaned off snow and all brush packed it in bag left it in the trail . 600 yds up hill alot more tracks . Second blind collapsed. Cleaned it off and bagged it picked up trail cam . Now I have chair, camera, and blind ... muzzleloader. Still hunt to next spot . Pack up last blind and pick up camera . Now i have 2 chairs, 2 blinds ,2 cameras . Start circle back to pick up first blind and chair . Decide to cut through big pines. Still hunting ... really slow with all this gear and 2 feet of snow . Stop as I exit the thickest part of the pines to catch my breath. Look next to a fallen pine tree and there is a deer bedded. Kneel down unload all my blinds and chairs. Bring up rifle... yup its a doe... I squeak and its ears move .. stands up and I see it's a yearling doe . Gets a pass. Down the hill I get to my first set of tracks and deer have walked inside my trail. Pick up 3rd blind and chair down the hill I go . Just as I reach the big food plot i hear turkeys clucking . Up the hill comes a huge flock of turkeys . Kind of funny to watch . 2 steps they break through the snow . All the way acrossed the plot. Watched as the went up into the pines i just left. Crossed the food plot and decided to shoot the load out of my muzzleloader. Have a stump I use every year so I center drilled it . Load had been in the gun for 2 weeks .. back to the truck . So ended my 2020 season . Probably the worst season of my life . Looking forward to next year .
  19. That's alot of money and way to many hours . Sounds like a contractor owned machine or lease.
