The whole thing is one BIG political BS storm. I bet you dollars to donuts 99% of you couldnt even tell me where Benghazi was a month ago or how to even spell it..Not the first time a US embassey was attacked and wont be the last. Why do we even have embassies in these hell holes overseas in the first place????????

I agree to a point sits in trees about having embasy's in those hell holes, BUT if we have them there, and americans are serving their country by being there, then we damn well better make sure we have someone capable of keeping them safe... Not some group of local's in the back of a 1992 Nissan pick-up truck for gods sake.. And i'm not sure you understand the seriousness of having an ambassidor killed. 30 yrs since this happened. Those Americans deserved to have someone try to help them.. I know you would have tryed if you had the power.

They were in the process of trying to wrap up all the military equipment that was laying around and keep it from getting in the wrong hands. If I was a betting man I would say they ticked off the wrong people. I find it interestting that of the 8 American ambassador's killed 5 have been killed in Muslim Countrie's. one in south America, and two in plane crashes. If we have such a bad record with Muslim countries why wasnt there a better security team put in place. Piss poor planing results in piss poor results. Just sayin.

Maybe we could have done a better job to protect that embassy, but I will agree with Sits and others that we need to pull EVERYONE out of these fleabag countries. They aren't only bombing our embassies and killing ambassadors, but also killing other American personnel. Hell, we are training the military and police in Afghanistan and then they shoot us in the back with the weapons we gave them. How the F*@&k do we defend ourselves from that?? The honest freaking answer is that we CAN'T. We can't trust any damned one of them, so the only sure way to defend ourselves is to get the hell out and let them massacre, burn, shoot, stab each other to their hearts content. Hopefully they will all kill each other off without us having to be in the middle of it.

It's been proven over and over again in that region, that democracy CANNOT prevail. Everyone gets excited when brutal regimes fall in Egypt, Libya, Iraq and elsewhere, only for other regimes to take over that are even worse. Why on earth are we wasting money and lives for these countries and people?? Until they prove to us that they can act like civilized human beings, I would NOT spend one red cent or a minute of our time with any of them. They want to live like barbarians, they can go right ahead. No need for us to deal with their crap. If they somehow harm us on our soil or in other countries we can easily level any one of them with air power and missiles. No need to put even ONE American foot soldier on their stinking sand dune grounds.

Whether or not 99 percent of us knew how to spell it or not does not diminish the fact that this administration made a conscious effort to downplay what happened there for their own political agenda. Americans were killed because the White House failed to act. End of story.

I think we occupy these places so we can find cheap labor down the road. Historically it seems to fit the bill, but not in every case. Think about it, where is your T-shirt made? Many from places occupied in the 70's...

We sure as hell aren't doing it for the oil with the exception of protecting the waterways that it travels through to get to us.

Obama and his minions insisted that the attack was a spontaneous protest against an obscure and amateurish anti-Islam video from the Internet. Obama himself repeated this same line 14 days after the attack in a speech at the UN. But we now know that intelligence sources and official U.S. State Department emails definitively show that not only did the White House know within two hours that a terrorist attack was underway and not a spontaneous riot, but they also knew which terrorist group had claimed responsibility. Administration officials monitored the attack in real time via phone lines and drone video. In fact, the first email is time-stamped just 20-30 minutes after the attack began. This latest news proves that the White House knew the true story from the beginning and they used the video story to cover up the truth of Benghazi, all to shield Obama from the results of his own failed policies, and his phony campaign-stump claims that "al-Qa'ida is on the run."

While American diplomats and personnel fought the terrorists for seven hours, Obama's crack national-security team and the U.S. military simply watched and listened. U.S. fighters could have been on the scene in an hour offering support, and U.S. commandos within 3 hours, but no orders were given. A military-loathing, anti-American commander in chief sat on his hands while U.S. territory was attacked, a U.S. ambassador assassinated, and three other Americans murdered, and team Obama then devised a phony story to cover up for the disaster.

Meanwhile, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the alleged video maker, the Obama administration's scapegoat for inciting the Benghazi attack, is still being held at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Center without bond for a parole violation. Nakoula's next court date is Nov. 9, which just happens to be three days after the presidential election. Very convenient for Team Obama, but what's another injustice when retaining power is the end game? Obama and his fellow miscreants simply must be removed from power.

It seems that certain regions are not really safe havens to place a U.S. ambassador. The last five killed in the line of duty were in such regions, and look at the groups that claimed responsibilibty for their deaths. Any similarities?

Christopher Stevens - Libya (Supporters of Shariah) - 2012

Adolph Dubs - Afghanistan (Islamic extremists) - 1979

Francis Meloy - Lebanon (Palestinian separatist group) - 1976

Roger Davies - Cyprus (Greek Cypriots) - 1974

Cleo Noel - Sudan (PLO) - 1973

Heard today that one of the seals that was killed, was painting a mortar position, with a laser, and requested an air strike on it that never came. While painting the target, and waiting, he gave up his position to the mortar crew, who were able to fire on him and kill him. What a f'kn disgrace!!! And most of the news agencies are not even talking about it. Disgusting

I certainly believe that this was mishandled from the beginning and the administration covered up. I agree with the others that we should leave these countries and cut off every cent of aid. They hate us if Bush is the president, they hate us if Obama is the president and will continue to hate us. Our mistake is treating these people like they are civilized 21st century humans when they choose to live like complete barbarians in the 17th century.
