SteveB
The list of vendors boycotting continues to grow.
Big Indian
You do know that its in response to the show not allowing anyone to bring or display any "assault style" rifles at the show, right? This is in no way a spineless move. I will make it a point to do business with the companies taking this stand. We need more of these antis and others bowing to the PC bullsquat being called out. Thanks for the info, I stand corrected. I applaud their moves Edited January 21, 2013 by Big Indian

callman
Just to let everyone know I am a turkey call maker. I am a very small company just me and my wife and my 11 year old son. We are not like most vendors if I lose two thousand I will be out of business. So is everyone going to buy one of my turkey calls. I am stuck on what to do. It sure sucks to watch your dreams go down the drain. Try to look in your boys eyes and tell him you failed.

nyantler
Not at all. Saying they are showing their true colors and in doing so deserve the reaction and not support at this point. They have brought their politics to the show. If they rescind and run their show in a non political manner, then we move ahead. If they don't, the list of non attendees should double + for next year. Do we continue until the show no longer exists ?
phade
While i feel bad about vendors, it is a rock and a hard place. Still, the show needs boycotting until change is made.

sbuff
And that is the bottom line, change is needed. Steve
Dinsdale
Most of the celebs have bailed now.....Shockey,Weishuhn,Lee and Tiffany........others on list. Maybe close to a 100 vendors as of tonight. Callman above here made the same post on Hunting PA and several guys stepped up and said they would order calls. Not sure if he is going or not. Setters4life
Reed is the same exhibitor the NSSF used for the SHOT Show last week. Reed is a UK-based company. (Maybe Piers Morgan has something to do with this?) http://www.pagunblog...porting-rifles/ From the NSSF site (It seems they "strongly disagree" with Reed's decision but that's as far as they'll go) - http://www.nssfblog....d-outdoor-show/ Note: the NSSF is based in Newtown, CT, while Reed Exhibitions is located in Norwalk, CT. I'm sure there are reasons both are fence-sitting. Edited January 22, 2013 by Setters4life

laketrout
Glad to see a lot of vendors have the spine to put principle above profit. If Reed fails maybe an American company that supports the 2ed Amendment will take over. I DO feel for the vendors and area businesses that will lose millions over this but , unfortunatly, sometimes it takes financial loss to stand up for whats right. Maybe Reed Exibitions should stay in their native UK.
13BVET
Well, I agree with the boycott of the Eastern Sportsmans Show, but, is anyone else on here boycotting Dicks Sporting Goods? They pulled their modern rifles right away, and refuse to fulfill orders that were placed before hand.
PWGUNNY
I do not have any ill will towards any vendor participating in the show. They paid their exhibitor fees and rely heavily on these shows to get them through the year. It is not their fault that Reed has decided to be a politically correct pussy. It's a shame they even have to deal with this nonsense. I'm real glad Cabela's stuck it to Reed. I think they were one of the main sponsors of the show. I will go to the Cabela's in Hamburg instead of the show. Everything I want is at that store anyway. If you've never been to a Cabela's, make the trip. It's worth it. I just bought more of their stock the other day. The fourth quarter and this quarter are going to be monster revenues for them with all the anti-gun fever driving sales of firearms and ammo through the roof.
