Screw it, I'm taking the rest of the week off

Cold weather and some snow coming tonight into the morning and it's gonna be cool all week. So now I'm off till next Monday and gonna put some serious stand time in. Hopefully this new weather brings he movement. My only concern is the wind.

Well just like I was worried about it was so windy this morning I thought my house was gonna blow down. Hopefully it calms down this afternoon so I can get out .

I can't friggen wait for next wednesday. Half day then 4 days off where I WILL take down a buck. Hopefully there will be some rutting, haven't seen any activity so far.

Lucky you! The guy I am working for has us booked through rifle season. All summer I'd work a week and have half a week or more off. I was hopeful of having a break the first week of December but we stopped and looked at job on the way home and got it booked for Dec 1st. Thanks a lot Dave.

I did, I had a few days banked for the summer vacation, now I am using most of what I have. I schedule mine smart, you know around holidays. Not sure what I will do next summer. :-/

It was a throw back joke from "Jimmy Big Time" which is a hunting comedy show on tv. I don't know if it's still on because we canned cable a long time ago. Ah well joke wasted

I got up this morning and looked outside and said f that. Wind was blowing so bad I thought my house was gonna blow down. Went out this afternoon at 1pm until dark and froze my ass off in the wind. I thought the wind was gonna blow me out of my stand at several points. Saw two doe around 3pm coming from pines across golden rod back into the hardwoods but they were quite a ways out.

I went this AM to my one stand that is seldom windy,busted big one on walk to stand could smell him as I passed ,he stunk bad.

Tomorrow 20 or high teens! Oh boy. I ll be between cut corn and Timothy field with cover near both.

Then I start working nights....

The nasty weather is when we shoot our best deer. Cold wet and windy, Ideal conditions to harvest a nice buck.

I was so uncomfortable where I was. I was on a platform that leans forward a bit. I did see a 4 pt early. I couldn't take the cold or angle had to move to different area, I am now in my blind and the wind has picked up some

I saw one doe this morning and absolutely nothing tonight. I can't believe it.

They're out there, I saw a big buck today, but could not verify his points.  (AR).

I seen a buck this morning, going back there and sitting in a tree stand, see how that works out. I did not hear any shots at all
