If I had a buck tag in my pocket he most certainly would get shot.  If anything with spike horns of 3 inches or more comes along it gets shot.  I have a limited amount of time I will be hunting any given season, so I don't go hunting to wave at deer with my handkerchief!  I can go out and do that any other time of the year.  During hunting season I go out to shoot them if the opportunity presents itself.

During Bow and first week of gun he probably walks...After that is there are no does in the freezer...might be a different story....but if it was my first buck....he would be mounted and on the wall just as you did. He is MUCH bigger than any buck I shot the first 15 years of hunting

I havent ever gotten a buck so hes a gonner for sure. If it breathes and meats the legal antler restriction which here is 3 points on one side of 1 inch or longer he is dead

Yeah, I would shoot it. I think it's a pretty good deer and since it meets AR if you care about that why wouldn't you shhot it. Besides I believe they call it a slick six because it didn't grow brow tines and I heard on TV will stay a six. Not sure. Not an expert, just what I saw on TV explaining why they would consider one like that a management buck and wouldn't give it more time.

First off, I want to tell you that I am strictly a trophy hunter, so the first thing I would look at would be his ears and if they were (3) three ins. or longer, BANG .
