I just made a couple of these for relatives and was wondering if there was a market for them. Just out of curiosity what would someone pay for a hand made Betsy Ross flag like this?  They are made from reclaimed dog eared stockade fence. Measure approx 42" x 26"

I use to work in a place that would have sold those like crazy if the price was right. That was almost 10 yrs ago,  not sure how they would go now.

I couldn't give you a price, but they sure would sell at Antique World & Flea Market in Clarence.

Edit: Selling on Ebay, anywhere from $75 - $450 made out of rustic barn wood.

$450 may be a little high unless it's got  Betsy's signature on it!

Selling online would involve shipping, which might be an issue for something this big.  Shipping costs might be a little high too.

I would craigslist them, or looks for Yard Sale groups on Facebook in your area.

It can be tough finding the market for these kinds of craft items. Shipping will crush you (I'm guessing 30-40$ range) unless you're getting into a high price-point market. A month on ebay with some good pics and 'presence' options will cost you about 20 bucks or so. Throw it out there with a 'buy it now' price that makes it well worth your time (don't forget packaging time and materials, computer time, travel time, ebay and paypal fees, etc) and see if anyone bites. You never know. As stated above, craigslist is another option if you're willing to work at it and maintain your 'presence' there.

The hundreds of Christmas-time crafts shows around Bflo might work as well if you have a bunch already made and need to liquidate in the fall to pay for deer processing and more ammo.

thanks for the replies, I am not looking to sell/ship on ebay etc. but just was wondering if there would be a market and what someone would pay for 1 vs. how long they take to make. I will be donating 1 to Hawkeye Archery Club for their Traditional Shoot in August and 1 will probably go the the NWTF banquet in February.
