First deer of the season sighted. Had a 3-5 point 1.5 year old sneak by behind me at 12 yards. Man he snuck in without a sound. Wandered on by without a care in the world.

That rain really quieted down the woods, the deer will be moving around with little sound.

Saw a 6 and an 8 point at 710 am . 100 yards out . It's breezy now.

Quiet in my woods this morning...and very windy.... and fricken cold. I under-dressed and called it a day about 9-am. I did find the mother of all fresh rubs however on the way back in,smack dab in the middle of the property. Guess who is moving a tree-stand tonight!?

I also loaded up the clothes, I knew coming from 80 a week ago 40 was gonna be cold! Felt like the stay puff!! Usually gradually increase the clothing the first couple weeks.
