Passed on a mature doe...she was with her yearling still... The bedded 60 yards away for 20 min...out the cross hairs on her a few times but she gets a pass this morning...one doe down on our hill so far

Are you on state land? I hunt state land all through bow season and skip opening weekend for gun because of how crazy it gets. Always seems to be that one guy that shoots at whatever moves and misses 5 consecutive shots lol

Strangely quite this morning. First shot was 7:22. There was a 3 shot barrage about 8:45. One or two distant shots. All in all, a very quiet opener. Wait til this evening and everyone starts driving their little parcels. Then we will hear some action
