To formally submit input by email, write to: [email protected] and in the subject line enter “air rifle regulations.” By mail, write to: Bryan L. Swift, NYSDEC, Bureau of Wildlife, 625 Broadway, Albany, NY 12233-4754 There's nothing to vote on. This implement isn't on the table for 2016. shawnhu
yes but http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/outdoors/crosman-set-to-introduce-airbow-20160102 Chip Hunnicut, communications manager and active hunter, said, “Airbows will be legal during the firearm season and we’re working to have them open during the archery and crossbow seasons.” Chip, along with Crosman obviously want to have this implement legal in as many states as possible, but I don't see it happening in 2016. Public comment is in reference to big bore Airguns that meet qualifications of .30 cal or more and 650 fps or more. None of these are met with this arrow gun. According to DEC regulations, it's not even legal for small game, which is 600 fps. Core
yes but http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/outdoors/crosman-set-to-introduce-airbow-20160102 Chip Hunnicut, communications manager and active hunter, said, “Airbows will be legal during the firearm season and we’re working to have them open during the archery and crossbow seasons.” Surprising so fast. These things seem at least as capable as any decent crossbow out there, but obviously shouldn't be allowed into archery.
Buckmaster7600
I don't in any way consider that a bow, crossbow or Any type of archery but I would consider it cool as hell and now I want one! I don't know what I would do with it but that's never stopped me from buying stuff before!
Fredbear2
Wow not very accurate when scopes can be taken on and off for air gun and crossbow use !
Culvercreek hunt club
The genie is out of the bottle ..... lol. I knew the crossbow was just the beginning. Technology knows no bounds. Just look at todays compound bows for proof of that. Bow season started with a bent stick and string. Now look at it. I warned of every addition to bow season setting new precedents for the next. I can only repeat that warning. It'll be a hand held rail gun next...lol

Both bow & muzzle-loader seasons were enacted to give those that wanted to use "primitive weapons" W/O competition from hoards of hunters using modern equipment. ants
With the way hunting technology is advancing, and with so many hunters embracing it over traditional hunting, its just a matter of time before there is just one big "use what ever you want" season.

chrisw
The only part this has in common with a "bow" is an arrow. That does not make it a "bow"... If I put a bullet in a slingshot that doesn't make it a gun... Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

shawnhu
how do you hunt deer with seabass? can they be used during bow season?.... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk I'm not sure if seabass can be used during bow season. Probably not because it's generally black and has dangerous spines, more than 7 capacity I'm sure. Might be illegal in NYS. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
