fasteddie
Got up at 4 am and was at Rochester General Hospital at 5:30 . My urologist had me put out and went through my urethra to laser blast the stone as it was too big to pass and too big to do with ultra sound . Finally got out of there at noon . Picked up some prescriptions . I have been avoiding the pain pills as the codeine causes another problem . They placed a stent in my willie and when I pee it is very painful but I have to drink a lot of water . I have had a lot of friends from our church group praying for me so the helped . I wouldn't wish this on anyone ! fe
Lawdwaz
Sorry to hear this Eddie, hopefully you sleep good tonight and heal up fast. I've had the Lithotripsy twice and.......knock on woodie, I've had no more kidney stones since.
Zem18
Eddie glad to hear things went well for you. Like I said before, I feel your pain as I went through that in September. Put fresh lemon in your water and it will clean everything out and help take away that burn. Just wait until that stent has to come out. They put it in while you were asleep and it comes out when you are awake. It is 30 seconds of pure hell. Good luck and hope you feel better. Once the stent is out you should be back to normal. All I could think of the "t-Handle" cars the boys used to have . It had a 10" rubber / plastic handle attached that was grooved and pushed into the back of the car . When you yanked the handle , the car hauled butt across the room . I am inticipating that's how I will react to the removal .
Zem18
I remember those cars, and yes you rip that thing out of there like you are starting a chainsaw or lawnmower. Same thing happens in the doctor office. One quick yank and it's over. The pain is when they insert the scope and fill your bladder with saline. Feels like you are gonna pee all over. Doc
Aw cripes Eddie, isn't old age wonderful? Look at all the wonderful new experiences you get to have. I think the urologists are the masters of pain. It hurts just thinking of my last activities with those people. I hope things get back to normal for you real quick. And whatever makes those damned stones develop ...... STOP DOING THAT!

moog5050
Sorry to hear that Eddie. Will keep you in prayer for a quick recovery. I had a stone once and the pain came on so quick and bad, I literally thought I was having a heart attack. Nope just a tiny little stone. They are brutal. thphtm
Hope you have a quick recovery Eddie, Had them a number of times some passed , some blasted and the last one plucked out the way they just did yours, before they pulled the stent out I had a blood clot and the pain from that was almost as bad as the stone. The_Field_Ager
Nasty business. I just had all my wisdom teeth out yesterday. Was surprised I was still reasonably aware of the procedure, although it was pain free. Hurting like a son of a gun today however. I have 3 of 4 still hanging in there and DREAD, FREAKING DREAD the day one of them goes tits up.............I'm easily the biggest panty waste going when it comes to that stuff. I'd rather have a digital exam ANY DAY.

I'd rather have a digital exam ANY DAY. I was the same, no fan of dentistry at all. One of my Wisdom's became badly decayed, strangely I never felt a thing , but it was only a matter of time. Another one was impacted a bit so I decided to just go ahead n have em all out at once. If you take a bottom one, you need to do the top also, as it keeps growing downward! fasteddie
Right now , I am in more discomfort than before before the stone was blasted . Normally I have a pretty high pain threshold and can stand a lot . Hopefully things will subside in a day or two . Gotta get over this as I have another operation coming up on February 19 . Zem18
It's that stent, it is the most uncomfortable feeling and it is constant until it comes out. I really feel bad for you but it does get better. Hang in there.
