SplitG2
Ok, I just curious how Gregg Ritz is still in the hunting Industry after his game violations? Seems TC let him go after this but Hoyt gives him a job as their CEO? Seems to be sending the wrong message..eh?
Doewhacker
I can't seem to find any thing that says Ritz was charged, only the employees, does that lead to guilty by association? I'm not familar with this case and only learned by google. And I don't know about him being ceo of Hoyt, Horton maybe but Hoyt?
steve863
How much can we really expect from the industry? They tried to blacklist a well known and experienced writer like Jim Zumbo for only having an opinion while others can get away with a lot worse. I have a hunch that the shady ones go the furthest in this industry.
SplitG2
Sorry, I meant Horton. From what I read a year ago he was fined $50k along with another employee of Game Trails. I'll try and find the article.
SplitG2
Breaking News Thompson Center CEO, Pro Hunter and Owner of Game Trails LLC Gregg Ritz along with Site Manager Dirk McTavish, Jr .have been fined $50,000 after pleading guilty to multiple Lacey Act Violations for illegally taking game animals in Kentucky. Doewhacker
Ok, Thanks Split, I read that he basically bought Horton a couple of years ago. In my opinion, even if he didn't get charged, he must have known some thing was going on. The whole thing sounded fishy to me, kinda like a QDM gone bad situation driven by greed and tv show lust. Now I have a reason to not like him by the way, I don't know how I never knew about this one.

TH41
It's what the sport of hunting has become for some. Show me the money. I'm somewhat amazed at how many prohunter's have cropped up in the last two decades. Or should I say hunting as an industry. They make claims they had no idea! All i can say is B.S! They know when they are breaking the law. Hell they could be shootin their big bucks from Nebraska in Kansas. Or they could be fillin several of their tags in one state. The camera doesn't know.Unless its maybe in Texas. Ted Nugent,Greg Ritz, there will be more along the way for sure.
