I love the details. sunroof, exposed headers. While I'm not one for red trucks this is still for sure is a car to add to the collection.

I was a match box kid my self...and wish my collection hadn't been washed away in the flood of 1972. Being a girl mine were  in great condition and would have remained as such. I had many favorites but  being in a construction family this was a favorite.

I have no idea whatever happened to all my Matchbox cars ( and baseball cards) I had as a kid. I would guess good ole Mom threw them out. I replaced my Matchbox cars with a collection of 1/32 scale Zora Arkus- Duntov die cast Corvettes. Some guys never grow up.

Good Lord how many miles of hot wheel tracks did I put together as a kid???!! I was the only girl in a neighbor hood of boys...I could sling a car out of a loop D loop across an entire basement

My brother and I had tons of hot wheels, when we were kids. We had all kinds of tracks too….We could never find enough of those red things that held the sections of track together, so we had to use scotch tape a lot….. LOL!!

I used to crush some of my matchboxes in the vice on my fathers workbench. It made them look like they were in a horrible accident. Somebody came up with that idea and patent it.

When I think back on all of the toys my brother and I destroy, that would be worth money now,,,I get depressed..

My kids have some of my old ones that my mother saved, us kids painted our initials on them so the other siblings wouldn't try to swipe them.

I have a 72 Olds Cutlass that I drive around in nice weather. I would love to find a hot wheels car that matched it.

Whenever I go to Walmart (as inoften as possible) I buy a bag full of matchbox/hotwheels and give one to my nephew every time I see him. Now whenever I see him he comes running and give me a big hug followed by...Uncle Chris...do you have anything for me?

 The kids have a friend that made an entire hot wheels Christmas tree for their grandson, how kewl is that, I saw pics of it...I'm thinking I'd best get cracking...lol

I always look through the hot wheels when I'm at the store. I just recently started looking on ebay for large amounts of the track and also Lincoln logs for the kid when he gets a bit older.

Got a few left from my youth , have way more Matchbox though . Problem is boys tend to be hard on toys and these sure show that .

A couple of those look familiar…For some reason, most of the kids in my neighborhood liked Hot Wheels over Matchbox. I don't know why..

I really enjoyed/still do love my toys.I still remember getting many ass beatings from the tracks I think they stung more than the belt.Being 40 yrs old I still have a sand box in the back yard and spend a bit of time playing with my Tonka trucks and dozers
