New project

In the process of making a "pot" call display rack for my computer room/office. Problem is I caught a dandy of a cold and feel like crap right now. So I hope to continue

with this latest piece when I feel better. Here is a picture of that project in it's early stages. Will post a pic after it's on the wall and stocked with calls!!! LOL....

Just finished sanding down, glued, screwed and clamped together. Will let sit overnight, then stain tomorrow.

K...was out of town last week. Just put on the first coat of stain. After this dries, will put another coat on and then when completely dry, the finish. Getting closer....

Dang man..., not even one single drop of stain on the paper! Even the stain can is clean of stain.

You are a PRO-ffesional no doubt about it!

When I stain something.., I stain EVERYTHING,lol!

LOL.....I did spill some on that table. Middle left....but that's what it is, a finishing table. Try to keep it looking good as long as I can, but that's what happens.

Well here is the finished project, I was waiting for that custom plate for the bottom to be made up before posting a picture. At least now I have a spot to keep

most of my strikers and "pot calls"!!!

JK real nice work man. I have one pot call and one striker, am a terrible turkey hunter and some day may be lucky enough to kill one while truly hunting turkey!! I have taken a couple but as opportunity arose while not specifically turkey hunting. My 1,2 or 3 trips out a season is more hope on luck than anything else!!

That looks great! Just curious where did you get the custom plate? I make some custom bow racks (check my avatar)and I am always looking for ideas for things to make and donate to my local NWTF banquet. What did you use for the final finish? I have been using wipe on poly from Minwax.
