Do you have to wear orange if you gun hunt from a tree convert stand?

I'm on state land so I'm going to,but was wondering. (NY) I'm going to sit in my climber and let everyone else push deer around. Also....is it a good use to gun hunt (.270) from a tree stand?

If i were on state land, id wear it at all times. I only hunt private so most of the time ill take it off when im in stand, but sometimes ill keep it. Havent noticed a difference really.

On state definitely wear it!!!!! 

Or at least minimum a orange hat

Where it know matter where you are..deer can't see it..Both myself and my neighbor where nearly shot out of our tree stands on our individual private properties by guys on neighboring lands.... We where both in full blaze orange..Why risk it...

You can use the camo orange if you want to be more hidden from deer they dont see color .

I always wear some orange during gun season...However, I'm 66 and would like to live at least unitl I'm 67..

If you don't care about such things, wear anything that you want..

Jay, you are in East Otto I believe, WEAR ORANGE! 270 is about as perfect a deer gun as there is. Good luck!

Holy crap!....here i am plopped on the couch thinking im already for morning...got my rifle next to my gear bag...everything layed out in the garage. All my stuff from bow...glad I read this or I would have left tomorrow morning without even an orange hat...I'm going to go get my vest right now!

In NY you don't have to wear it at all IIRC. For bow I have no orange but tomorrow ill put an orange ball cap on (it is a "camo" one, so not all just one color") and also put an orange bib/vest thingy over my regular gear.

I hunt private land with surrounding neighbors that hunt their own private land.always still wear a orange vest and hat.you just never know.wear it!

I always wear an orange vest. When it gets cold I swap out the camo beanie for an orange one.

I'll be sitting in a blind all weekend. So I am going to wrap my vest around the tree next to the blind between myself and the neighbors land

I used to wear head to toe orange. Now I just wear orange vest and orange hat. Check out this pumpkin suit when I was a kid lol.

I wear blaze orange . Either a blaze orange jacket or vest with a blaze orange hat . I hunt private land . I didn't live to be 75 by being stupid . I never put my trust in hunters on adjacent properties . Even the breakup blaze orange works . Just don't look at me through your rifle scope !

If there is any gun season for deer going on (that includes muzzleloader), I have a whole lot of blaze orange on. Because of where we live (kind of in the middle of the woods), that includes out in our yard as well.
