Almost go time

Down to the wire, this past weekend i gave all my plots their final cut for the year, trimmed some lanes , set out a couple cams,  overseeded some plots with broccoli rabe and shot the bow. Im ready!!!!

uh oh!  i just got permission today to hunt a small plot of new ground!  thought I was ready but next weekend gotta scout and put up one more stand and some trail cams ASAP!  But a good problem to have i suppose.

I still have to hang tree stands and scout new spots. I have a couple places that have shown activity on cameras but definitely behind compared to previous seasons.

I haven't even started on stands yet. This coming weekend will be for hanging stands and trimming lanes. Have to get all of the posted signs up as well. After that I'm about done.

I'll find some time within a couple weeks to get ready , too many geese to kill it's taking focus off deer season prep!

Two more stands to hang , should shoot my bow a bit more, few more posted signs to put up, probably should go buy my license too .

Behind as always..but the first few weeks of Oct are stil work weeks for me..hunt a little work a little   ...also this..leaf clearing...I know this drives some of you crazy..but deer season or not...the backpack blower and I clear trails and woodland plots...My cams always show mature buck walking past them in day light so  I don't hesitate. Actually gotten my more deer than not.walking in quiet and with in yards of them...or having them walk under me when I'm half way up the ladder.

Not quite accurate. Early bow in the NZ starts on the 27th, from now that's 23 days, early bow for the SZ starts on 10/1 which is 27 days.
