Ty
Hello everyone. I'm involved in an internet discussion elsewhere as to what the creature on the right may be. It's not my picture but the picture was taken in Vermont by a Moultrie game cam which was about six feet off the ground. On the left is a picture the camera previously took for comparison. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
FULLDRAWXX75
Owl....... FDXX75
Doc
Obviously, the picture is terribly distorted due to movement, but my guess would be some large bird. Yeah I think the owl guess is reasonable. If it's not a bird, I would suggest that the guy that owns the camera should just leave the camera where it is and never return to that spot . Ty
Thanks FD and Doc. Those were basically my thoughts too. Bird of prey in flight, possibly an owl. It's odd what people see in pictures, where I'm discussing it people are seeing everything from a Bigfoot with an infant under it to two coyotes wrestling...LOL I'm actually in the minority of people who sees something relatively close to the camera making it appear larger and is in flight. Anyone one else want to weigh in, please do, as I would like to relay to where I'm discussing it what folks on a hunting forum thinks about it. Thanks you guys, Ty
Doc
Well, now that you mention it, I suppose it could be bigfoot dressed in a ghillie suit ;D .

Culvercreek hunt club
Not for nothing but the trigger speed on that has to be pretty good to catch in flight. I was thinking maybe the owl did grab something on the ground and was taking off....might explain how it got it in flight
ny hunter
I wish that owl grabbed the Easter bunny,I have way too much chocolate in the house.
Ty
Thanks everyone.... ;D It seems the consensus here is pretty much an owl. I agree, in the original I inserted a barn owl illuminated by a night video camera. Although the feathers aren't distorted by motion notice the white patches the feathers produce under close lighting.
Geno C
im going to have to say owl also... looks like the guy who owns the cam threw out quite a few apples to bait something in... you can see them on the floor.
