Were you drop shoting the smallies?
Talked to a guy who was a co-angler from Indiana who pounded fish all week leading up to the flw event held in buffalo this past weekend..... and he said it was the deadliest method he has ever seen on smallmouth.

After I released it I noticed the rail of the boat had a measuring tape sticker, I wish I’d have seen it. But since I didn’t, the fish was 29” long

No I’m not too proud to say I was fishing live crawfish for the first time in my life. I do dropshot a lot though and he’s right, especially with the rocky bottom. We figured those FLW guys hammered that spot all weekend

Considering you  are so tall, I would say that bass was over 30" by the proportions.  Well done tacks.

Prefished only today. 18 landed nothing giant but we caught fish. On em first thing in the am for the real deal. Hopefully we tip some scales tomorrow !!

Did land a nice steelbow and a big fat Laker. Lakers was prob 16-18#. No pics, all business !!
