132 eight pointer
I woke up Sunday (yesterday) to find that this old neighborhood doe had jumped the fence in my back yard and given birth. She was with her "son", a buck born last year but soon chased him off. These two went from wobbly legged walking yesterday to running today. They lay in the ivy and wisteria and you wouldn't know they were there. Mom comes and goes to nurse them but doesn't stick around so that predators are not attracted. I will have to leave a gate open eventually so these guys can get out of my yard but for now they are pretty safe.
wooly
Sweet shots 1328ptr! I especially like the nursing pics as that's one that has eluded me over the years. I haven't even found a track here yet.
132 eight pointer
Thanks Wooly. I have it easy getting that nursing pic, I took it from inside my house. Through the window that is why it is a bit hazy.

chas0218
I have sign back in my food plot of some little ones. Their prints are about 1" long in the mud. My son thought it was pretty cool and thinks I have to throw up my cams. Edited May 22, 2018 by chas0218
wooly
I caught up to my first fawn of the year today in the creekbottom as usual. I got a vid of him walking by my trail cam on my side of the creek so I knew if I looked hard enough I could find him. Only about 30yds from the cam I saw his ears sticking up from the periwinkle. Before I could get my camera focused on him he took off and plunged into the flooded creek from all the rain we got last night and throughout the day. The current started to sweep him away, but he quickly got turned around and started swimming up stream. I had my camera set up for shooting still shots of mushrooms, so not the best pics, but a pretty cool encounter none the less!
