Doc
Ha-ha-ha-ha.......So there does come a point where genetically manufactured deer can be made to look quite ridiculous. I think there is a point that is too far. Some of these have reached that point.
Doc
prehistoric deer antlers - Google Search Here are some that nature created that went a bit too far. Unfortunately, their antlers eventually proved to be a genetic hazard and none of them could sustain that trait of over-sized antlers. He thought it would be a good idea to rub on a pile of 12ft cedar posts laying in the yearling pen. This is why any bucks not sold or to young get cut. They will run an anything. Moho81
Do they start to grow antlers around the same time as a wild buck or do they start earlier in year?

Al Not sure about pain as they have no problem sticking them into brush or even using the fence at times to get the velvet off, Then they eat it. I will say that they transform into a little different attitude after they lose the velvet. And they sure enjoy the taste of the blood that comes out. They will just rub their racks down their sides and then stand there forever licking themselves.
