Looking for youth hockey skates

I am looking for size 12 youth hockey skates....my oldest is going to start taking skating lessons and I don't want to break the bank in new ones.....also looking for a full cage youth hockey helmet as well.

Send me a pm and let me know what you got. Local would be best ...I could drive anywhere around the WNY area to pickup just let me know your price.

Size 12? So his foot is actually a 14?

It's my understanding that youth sizes are true to size ....ie he wears a size 12 youth running shoe so he would take a size 12 youth hockey skate.

Once they hit regular sizes that's when you start wearing a smaller skate size vs. shoe size.

I wear a 10 running shoe and a 9 hockey skate.....my buddy was telling me yesterday he knows guys who wear 2 sizes smaller in skates. Only played pond hockey growing up so we only went a size smaller since we needed tow warmers and thick socks to stay out all day!

I may have barely if ever even once used figure skates that will fit them

Sod, used to walk across the frozen Cayuga creek by your house and skate at como Park. Played a ton of ice hockey there. My dad had speed skates and everyone mesmerized at him skating around   Happy memories

I work with some hockey dad's , I'll ask them tomorrow if they have any . I have a few things left behind from my youth that you can have if you want .

i might have a pair but i'm in the Binghamton area, a 12 shoe should be an 11 skate even in kids skates.

I wear a size 10-10.5 shoe, wear 8.25 skates (custom).

There is a re sale store on McKinley just south of wegmans. They have a lot of used hockey equipment. prices are ok. I think there might be another used hockey store on NF blvd tonawanda side south of the 290.

Just be careful if you get some old equipment to use. Some of that stuff doesn't protect as well as the new stuff. Not worth an injury.

Could be different now cause I stopped playing hockey after college over 20 years ago and I hear the skates are million x better kind of like the difference in compound bows over 20 years but we always wore our skates 2 sizes smaller than feet size.........

He never texted me a picture ,he said he would check when he got home friday. He either doesnt have a 12 after all or just forgot  , im off work til Wednesday , ill ask him again.
