Missing the Raptor

Well not really.  Awesome truck but Loving the Jeep especially on sunny days going topless.  Surprised at how smooth it rides lifted.  And my father liked it so much, he bought a gently used (15k miles) one nearly identical after I told him it wouldn’t bother me a bit.  Same year, model and color.  So he will be using those tires I pulled off.

Mine and his.  Pretty funny IMO.   This could get confusing.

my dad and I just bought the same bow. I couldn't imagine same ride and color haha, but when you share DNA it all makes sense.

In fairness, he was looking at jeeps first to replace his hummer h3 then I bought one.  Driving mine just pushed him over the edge.  lol

One of our daughters bought a new Civic a couple of years ago. We liked it so much we bought my wife that used dark blue one that I posted in my boat thread. Same thing, she didn't think anything weird about it. Although she reminded us that hers has the turbo. Turbo-schmurbo.

If I am going to see a twin in the neighborhood (and there aren't many rubicon recons around), its good to know its my dad.

I was going to say , on these hot days you must be enjoying the open cabin of the Jeep. The raptors are nice no doubt,  but you must be getting a little better milage out of the Jeep ? Or do you miss the HP of the raptor ?

Mileage ain't much better with the 4.10 and big tires (12.5 v. 13.8) but I definitely enjoy the versatility of the jeep in the summer.  Total transformation in 10 min.  HP isn't that big of a deal to me.  I just push the gas pedal a bit harder (leading to crappy MPG).  lol  I assume I will miss the truck a bit in hunting season, otherwise I am happy with the decision.

My Dad and I have such different Tastes I don't ever see that being an issue for me.....

Funny that my 74 year old father wants a jeep.  And he keeps vehicles for years so I suspect he will still be driving it in his 80s God willing.

Idk jeeps are supposed to be 2 door.. never cared for.4 door look

2 doors would be horrible for a DD, especially with kids.   That would definitely not be practical.  Has nothing to do with looks. Plus, having been around them since a kid as my brother always owned one, the longer 4 door ride way better.  But to each their own.

It's not about the ride, or speed but how you look getting there!! :)  I'm just old.fashioned cjs for me.. leaf springs and shocks.. kids can just bounce along in the rear.. bonus is if old enough no seat belts so they can really get airborne!! Lol

For me it’s a DD, family hauler, doors off convertible toy and hunting truck all in one.  Needs to do all reasonably well and I still like my creature comforts.   Need 4 doors for that.

For me the best hunting vehicle was a mini van . I know most guys aren’t secure enough to drive one .

Remove middle seats , place bow on rear seat, tote of clothes next to it . Arrive at spot walk to rear, get dressed inside ,grab bow press button ,door opens quietly, step

out door closes quietly.

Drag buck to van open both doors drape tarp over floor , step inside grab horns easily pull buck into van .

Ive gone from a dead buck inside to six kids in a few hours .
