Cleaning the drain isn't fun. But I would choose that every time over picking up after the dog when the snow starts to melt. My dog isn't big, but the entire winter's worth of poop makes for a pretty shitty chore.

Best $40 ever spent in spring thaw. “ hey Samanatha( daughter ) , $40 to pick up dog doo in backyard “  Her , ok if you throw in a Tim Hortons iced cappuccino.

This was part of my argument for having 8 kids. With 8 or so running around, you'd have a kid for the laundry, one for the dishes, one to clean up after the dog, the big ones watch the little ones, etc... The wife just laughed at me...

THIS is the tip of the day for those that are paying attention...........it'll take some experimenting before you figure out the best way to do it in your situation. 

I like to get as much water out of the tub or sink either by bailing or with the shop vac so that just the top of the drain is exposed.  Now with the end of the vacuum hose perfectly square to the drain but about an inch above it, push the hose onto the top of the clogged drain and give 'er a suck.  If it doesn't come on the first try, add some hot water to the drain, flush with the sink/tub bottom and give it another whirl.

On the Discovery channel they did a show about fetishes. Some guy was hooked on digging in your drain and playing with the hair and gook for 5 minutes then the thrill was over. He did this wherever he went when visiting friends... Weirdo!

if you let your drain get so bagged that there's standing water, you're doing it wrong. Check it every few months and avoid the headache with a little PM

F me!!!! Plastic snake was not enough....straitened wire coat hanger...nope!!!

Wait a moment....my now favorite huntingNY WNY forum member JeremyK suggested shop vac!!!! I will spare you the pics that I didn’t take cause I didn’t want to go Anywhere near my phone!
